JackFrost Posted 16 October, 2012 Share Posted 16 October, 2012 No attempts to even get the standing water off the pitch, their simply not bothering. It's absolutely waterlogged, there's no way any game would go ahead in these conditions, (unless it was being played in the African Cup of Nations)

alpine_saint Posted 17 October, 2012 Share Posted 17 October, 2012 I read that the stadium officials wanted to close the roof ahead of the game, but needed the approval of the FIFA representative appointed for the evening, but he didnt turn up until 7pm CET and the monsoon was already well under way, by which time it was dangerous to try to close it. dubai_phil Posted 17 October, 2012 Share Posted 17 October, 2012 Kevin Garside @GARSIDEK praise for English character is the soundtrack to the past 40 years and no answer to lack of ambition and imagination. Kevin Garside @GARSIDEK In a sporting life underwhelmed by England Milner represents all that is wrong with our approach. industrious, dependable, risk-averse dull. 1h Kevin Garside @GARSIDEK offensively Milner offers England nothing. no.7 shirt used to ignite the imagination when I was a lad. sadoldgit Posted 17 October, 2012 Share Posted 17 October, 2012 Why have a go at the manager. Rooney is suppposed to be World Class - how many quality performances has he put in in an England shirt. The others are meant to be top players too but they seem to lose something when they pull on the England shirt. Been happening for years under lots of different managers.
