Horton Heath Saint Posted 14 October, 2012 Share Posted 14 October, 2012 Apparently, a team that plays in all red wins more games than any other colours? Have we been duped in sake of our red and and white stripes, I miss them so much.

Graffito Posted 14 October, 2012 Share Posted 14 October, 2012 Pompey used to play in pink and they won f@ck all so they switched to blue and look where they've ended up.

Golden Balls Posted 15 October, 2012 Share Posted 15 October, 2012 I think we went to all red for the Asian market. Red is seen as lucky and prosperous over there apparently. I like our kit. But it doesn't look like us, so can't wait to get the stripes back!!

Hatch Posted 15 October, 2012 Share Posted 15 October, 2012 It is the thing opposing managers look at. Every pre game pep talk, the other manager is heard to say, 'Look out for Lambert, Lallana and do not look at the colour of their shirts'
The9 Posted 15 October, 2012 Share Posted 15 October, 2012 Not sure why the OP thinks that this (dubious) stat, which has already been discussed to death in the various kit threads anyway, is the reason we're playing in red. All I heard was something along the lines of "everyone's got a striped shirt and are more likely to buy something else". Which of course is the justification for changing the away kit all the time, not the home kit.
