Basically if you enter a friends code when making a new betfair account and wager a £25 bet on odds of 1.2 (1/5) or greater, you get a £25 free credit once the bet settles, plus a £10 bonus (which can be withdrawn straight away) and your mate gets a £35 credit too! Did it with one of my friends + the missus and it does work - essentially your first £25 bet is risk free... however you get the £25 + £10 bonus even if you lose.

Whilst I don't suppose you are a mug, it must mean that there are thousands of others who will get hooked on gambling this way - that is where they will make their money - on mugs!
