whelk Posted 10 October, 2012 Share Posted 10 October, 2012 Can you find out anywhere how many loyalty points you have? no ref in FAQs on site. And are they same for each game? Been to all home PL games and Arsenal and ticket for West Ham. Does that put me above someone who has done all home inc Sheff Wed and one away game? QPR coming up so guess they will be snapped up as wont have many allocated for that pokey little ground
WHITEE1987 Posted 10 October, 2012 Share Posted 10 October, 2012 The amount of points arent the same for all games. Class A is worth more than a Class C game. Cant remember the exact figures myself. You cant find out how many you have exactly without going through and working it out yourself. They announce with the ticket release how many points the game is worth. I wouldnt worry about the figure itself too much. They seem to go by naming games you need to have attended.rather than how many points you need. For example the west brom tickets go to season ticket holders who have been to at least 2 of City, Arsenal, Everton and West Ham. If you can meet the criteria they state in this way you should be pretty good. But saying that I have a feeling QPR will be lucky to make it past season ticket holders. Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 10 October, 2012 Share Posted 10 October, 2012 I think the QPR prices are around £50 each, which would certainly put me off if I could go.
Saint Garrett Posted 10 October, 2012 Share Posted 10 October, 2012 Been to QPR. ****hole of a ground with a crap view. They can shove that one if they think I'm paying 50 quid for the privilege!
rick1976.4.38 Posted 10 October, 2012 Share Posted 10 October, 2012 last time i went to that rip off club they tried to throw me out,so they can have one less saints fan there this season,
stevegrant Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 There isn't anywhere on the ticket system which shows how many loyalty points you have, and the only way the ticket office staff can work it out is by going through your order history. They've not even quoted a number of points for any potentially popular away game yet, e.g. "you need 100 loyalty points to get priority for a West Ham away ticket", they just said "season ticket holders who have been to two or more away games". Well worth bringing in that system then, they're basically making it up as they go along...
Saint Garrett Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 Exactly. What was the point in the club stating you get 20 loyalty points for going to the Sheffield Wednesday match. when infact all you get is priority to the next fixture, It's going to get messy towards teh end of the season when they have different games you can have been to. If you have been to 5 away games including Wigan, Norwich and Swansea you get priority to this game. Shambles
The Kraken Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 The loyalty points system has been a shambles from start to finish. Yes, it needs to start at some point in time (with everybody on the same level of points) but my God this has been hopelessly mismanaged. Our ticket office is an absolute joke these days, a real farce.
Hamwic Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 I asked the Ticket Office staff a few weeks ago about how the loyalty points system worked and how I could see how many points I had earned. I was told that the 'system' was not working yet but nor could they tell me when it would be. The longer this goes on, the more pointless (no pun intended) its implementation appears. Anyone else confused?
stevegrant Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 Anyone else confused? No, I think everyone's quite clear that it's a shambles, to be fair

Saint Lindford Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 It really has turned into a joke of a system. I too asked the ticket office a while back where on my online account I could see how many points I have, you can't was the reply. Well that is helpful..... The only way as has been said above is to do it your self via your order history and adding up the points you have gained. Again, as has been stated above it is a pointless exercise as the Ticket Office is stating the game you have to have been to to get a ticket. So despite being a ST holder I face the prospect of not being able to go to some away games as I was unable to get to the first few, thought the points system was going to be fair......... ummm might well be if it worked. The9 Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 (edited) To be honest the away ticketing was always going to be massively biased in favour of those who went to Man City away as they were bound to get priority for Arsenal away as well. That's basically the reason our group made bloody sure we went to both of those. The lack of a "totaliser" for points online (especially with the matches listed on your account, is it SO hard to allocate the points and display them there ?) is an hilarious oversight, only compounded by the difficulty of tracking down how many points matches are actually worth. To actually work it out for yourself you need the following information : > The original "Loyalty Points" post on the OS > The original match ticket pricing post on the OS (to work out which matches are in each category) > The individual points totals for the Sheff Wednesday and Leeds League Cup matches from the Ticketing details for those matches on the OS (Stevenage wasn't counted). That's actually three separate OS posts too. > In case you think that's easy, also be aware that somewhere out there is the OS post where they tell you that the Man City tickets are worth more loyalty points than the category they're in. So as long as someone can track down those 5 pieces of information, and collate them to the matches they've attended, then they have a chance of knowing how many points they have. Fortunately the OS is also unable to keep track, and has settled on a "number of matches attended" total, which makes it all completely irrelevant. Doctoroncall Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 So this is virtual data, doesn't exist but they can work it out... Manually! Hahaha!
The9 Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 So this is virtual data, doesn't exist but they can work it out... Manually! Hahaha! I don't even think they can and that's why they've gone with "number of matches attended" - it's ridiculous, there's a summary of all of your match purchases on your account, all they need is a field to report loyalty points per transaction which refers to a lookup table of "points per match" for the same match, and then you'd at least have the number of points for all of the matches you had paid for and could add them up yourself even if they couldn't get the system to do it. Though come to think of it, as ST sales are a single purchase on the account sales history and the points get added on a match by match basis, they'd have to factor that in somehow for ST holders too... It doesn't really matter until we start getting into "Wigan's meant to be worth the same as Man U AND Man C combined but now it's only worth the same as one or the other...". sotonjoe Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 What does it matter how many points you've 'got'? When it comes to tickets going on sale, the online booking system doesn't stop ineligible people buying tickets anyway! Fill your boots!
rooney Posted 11 October, 2012 Share Posted 11 October, 2012 There was also talk of loyalty points for spends in the Megastore or Ocean Quay when the new ST Cards were announced. I was advised at the Megastore to keep any receipts for purchases as the "points"" allocation could be added to the ST card when it came on stream.
