hasper57saint Posted 9 October, 2012 Share Posted 9 October, 2012 The 'Peter Priciple' like so many other 'Management theories' are totally extinct in todays Business. Pavlovs Dogs ran around in circles and yet we are to believe that this 'thoery' is suitable to ALL enterprises. As the late Harold Wilson said 'You can't legislate for peoples behaviour' Did NA know Jos would give the game away again? Or that the Referee was wrong so many times. How come we got 3 Yellows (I don't count Fontes as it was a shirt removal not a foul) and Fulham -who kicked us at every opportunity and would win an Oscar for the 'Dives' - got none? I agree with Derry.
saint_sinner Posted 9 October, 2012 Author Share Posted 9 October, 2012 What are you on about? We were outclassed by City for much of the game but Adkins made changes which gave us a chance of winning the game. The momentum in the Utd game had firmly swung in Utd's favour before he made the subs, we were simply done by a much better team at Arsenal and Everton have been one the strongest sides to play away in the Prem for a long time. On Sunday he clearly said that we made the changes to help us defend from the front better. The tatic was right but he couldn't help the individual errors which happened after. city we could've got a draw, man u draw minimum! Should have brought on danny seabourne to protect the defence or man mark scholes or van persie not bring on 3 strikers, one who we signed the day before?!!? Arsenal agree, everton, shambolic defending for 12 minutes, Fulham we were in total control until he made 3 changes and we then conceded. We were lucky to get a draw after that. also, why take off punch? He did it against Villa as well? total mystery! We supporters can usually get the subs right 90% of the time. With Adkins, I never know what he's going to do and then when he does it, I'm baffled!! I hope he knows what he's doing but the results say otherwise
Charlie Wayman Posted 9 October, 2012 Share Posted 9 October, 2012 These sort of threads should not be dignified by response but many still take the bait every time. The Peter Principle also says "If you have nothing useful to say then keep your trap shut!" OP please take note; find another hobby like finishing your homework on time. Saint_clark Posted 9 October, 2012 Share Posted 9 October, 2012 In an effort to try and tidy this place up a bit I'm going to lock all the Adkins threads and leave the one with the poll for people to discuss in there. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?40495-Sack-Adkins-Yes-or-no
