Stepgar Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 Sounded very down. Really unhappy with performance in second half and need to keep goals out. Clyne should be back nt clear on gaston. In hospital fir a couple if days.
trousers Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 He observed what most of us observed...we pressed very high up the pitch in the first half but sat back in the second. If the manager wants his players to do the same again in the second half why do the players come out and completely ignore him...? Lack of confidence maybe? Viking Warrior Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 We seemed to be pretty disorganised in defence . But injuries do not help . At least we didn't lose. We have so many negative threads . Jeez

lordswoodsaints Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 He is probably not living up to NC's expectations and he's feeling the pressure. This is one we were expected to win but it never happened and so he will have to explain why,tbh trying to explain away the reasons for taking lambert and puncheon off is going to be a bit uncomfortable for him. I don't disagree, he didn't get what he wanted during the transfer window. £30m spent and basically a championship side out there today. It just seems to be me the first sounds of discontent with Adkins are coming out from some fans.
DT Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 It's still the same messag from me. Too much emphasis was paid to forward players when keeper and defence were so obviously more pressing. We won't progress while we have to play Fox (abysmal) or Jos (now realising he is out of his depth). What worries me is that the midfield has no urgency, and even players like Puncheon seemingly had no real desire to actually run at what was a woeful Fulham team. Lallana looks like a luxury. Ramirez greatly missed.
supersonic Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 It's pleasing we got one back after being 2-1 down with minutes to go, but I have to feel this was 2 points dropped today rather than 1 gained. We were completely in control, especially in the first half

The buck stops with the Manager - and who knows whether he did not get what he wanted from the Transfer window. Adkins style will not change - S****horpe was the same Gung-ho approach and they conceded goals for fun.. just like we are in the Premier. His substitute decisons today were woeful - however many chances Lambert missed today, he is our one potent force up front. I fear NA is on borrowed time.. Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 I think he's probably been arse-whipped by NC this afternoon or knew he was in for a good spanking anyway, hence his somewhat muted and quite different approach to the interview. I suspect he knows he's walking a very thin line now.

I think with a tough start, questions are being asked - but sometimes people can look too deep for problems, which aren't really there. To be blunt and straight to the point, certain players in our 11 are not good enough. That's it. Nothing more sinister than that..!

Turkish Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 Pretty sure we'd have won if Ramirez has played. So there's room for optimism. Just have to see what happens won't we. I think we'd have won if Richardson hadn't got injured. Yoshida was awful at right back, not his fault he was playing out of position but Fulham targeted that second half. NA is beginning to take on a haunted, dead man walking countenance. The manager states that there is a good spirit, those players that do interviews, state they are as one with each other, yet you, and a few others on here, who have no connections with either, maintain that all is not well. Whilst I agree you are entitled to an opinion, is has no basis, and as a fan, you should be behind the team and manager. All in my humble opinion of course. pingwing Posted 7 October, 2012 Share Posted 7 October, 2012 Hopefully Adkins is annoyed that we just didn't play proper football for most the game, the team is good enough if we just play properly. We were pushed into playing long ball because every time we passed the ball it ended up at Punch how fell over. Frustrating that we are a lot better than we played today, when we pass and move like we did attacking city, united and villa we will be fine in the prem. If we hoof like Fulham did today we are in trouble there aren't enough spaces in the prem for teams playing nonsense football like that
