Joesaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 I like NA, I would not put out the team he has, but then I don't really have the right to tell him what to do, he has a great record in football, and I am sure he has reasons for doing what he is doing. Still COYS
buctootim Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Think it's shift work myself, 2 CFs 45 minutes all out effort each. As for the defensive qualities of SRL, well we've 3 central defenders on the pitch so might not be missed as much there as some think. It's a bold plan, it could even work, let's hope it does. Good points, could be that also.
beatlesaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Anyone know what Mayuka has to do to grab a starting position? Get done for drink driving ? Wander around aimlessly ? be the managers blue eyed boy ?
Saint Garrett Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Think we want to keep the ball on the floor and play through them. Might work might not, keep the faith, COYY!
hypochondriac Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 WTF is that lineup. Very worrying that the V man is suggesting it has the hand of Cortese on it.
beatlesaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Rickie Lambert is a better footballer than Guly, Jay Rod and Pucheon. Rickie Lambert is a better goalscorer than Guly, Jay Rod and Puncheon. Rickie Lambert is better defensively than Guly, Jay Rod and Puncheon. But he is on the bench and those three are not. I'm sure there is a fantastic reason for it and come 5.00 we will understand. I hope so cos at the moment its all beyond me.

max_saints Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 hard to remain positive with a starting line up like this. gazza has been doing okay, has he gotten a knock or something? and our front line don't look threatening at all. is NA trying to fast track his sacking?? I hope I'm proven wrong by full time with five goals for jrod and five assist from guly

up and away Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 WTF is that lineup. Very worrying that the V man is suggesting it has the hand of Cortese on it. I doubt it. The ability to decipher the starting line up from the colour of the bibs used in final practice is one thing, trying to extend that is another. No doubt has a good source we already now about, but nothing further than that. I don't understand what all the problems are about as Ricky will be on the field at some point. Do you want him going up against fresh players from the beginning or would you rather have him against tired players? We cannot make this work with providing everything Ricky needs to thrive and half a defence with Ricky starting, simple as that. We really have not got the players full stop at the present and this looks like a hiding either way. But what Adkins is trying to do makes sense, even if we can't follow it through. DrunkenSaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 We're doomed. Guly down the left so Yoshida wont get any protection and he isnt a left back oh good one Adkins. JRod hasn't had one good game in the premier, i like him as a player but he just isnt premier ready yet. I think this is just a mess of a team, why can't we play shaw? even if was played at left mid least he would give the left back more protection. I've seen a few games in the U21's and he's been caught a few times. But it does highlight the fact we needed a LB in the summer as a matter of urgency. up and away Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 rickie is a better player than needing a tired team to face ffs Let's assume he's your best player who is going to get pulled off after 60 minutes? When do you think the best time would be to have him on the pitch? And in case you donkeys have not noticed, Ricky cannot jump any more. Started the season with some great leaps but struggled to get off the ground in the last couple of games. We've all see this before over the last 3 seasons but it all gets merged into that blind spot.
Badger Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 A worrying line up that does not fill me with confidence at all. Gazzaniga has done nothing wrong but I'd accept the argument that Upton Park may be a test for his nerves - although he has shown no signs of panic in his displays to date. The defence are probably picking themselves at the moment, similarly the midfield. No RL - ridiculous in my mind, even if we are looking to counter attack, Rickie is often the player to hold the ball up and play others in. Rodriguez, unproven but nows the time for him to start looking like a £6m player. Guly ? Prove me wrong, but seems to me we'll start the match with 10 men. A brave selection by Nigel. If it comes off, he's a genius, lose by a small margin then his brave move did not come off. Get stuffed there and its another week of speculation on his job.
