Cheese on Toast

think positive my friend think Nuns breasts cold beer and sneaky whatever it is this weekend

Luckily being at the Beach Bar today we shouldn't need the match thread to be able to gawp scantily clad bewbs.

Can see what NA is thinking with the team.

As long as it is JRod up front and not out wide right...

Against Man City there was a degree of logic for bringing Lambert on later but Christ were playing West Ham here. Awful decision in a game that is gonna be won on aerial battles and our number one CF is on the bench for that useless bell Guly.

Good display of bedwetting going on. West Ham play hoofball over the middle. RL plays deep and isnt very mobile and possibly has a knock. Whose got more tactical nous - the guy who got us promoted twice with a 66% win ratio - or DD? um.....

Rickie is miles better at winning the ball in the air and holding it up more than anyone else.

He is probably our 2nd best defender at set pieces and best attacker at set pieces

This is the sort of game we need him in

Ok....really looking forward to this now.

NA must have a good reason for putting Lambert on the bench, it could be a make or break decision.

Can only hope it somehow unsettles FaT Sam's tactics as I am sure he has been working on stopping Lambo.

Intriguing !

I agree hes valuable at set pieces at both ends. I just think were set up to play this game counter attacking on the break- and RL isnt fast enough for that.

I hope we aren't looking to play on the counter today, the team isn't anywhere near good enough at soaking up pressure to do it properly.

Adkins obviously wants more mobility up front with the goal of undoing West Ham with some pace, and I can see his logic even if I've got serious doubts about leaving Rickie out.

However, I think there's a better defensive argument for keeping him in against this lot.

Think it's shift work myself, 2 CFs 45 minutes all out effort each. As for the defensive qualities of SRL, well we've 3 central defenders on the pitch so might not be missed as much there as some think. It's a bold plan, it could even work, let's hope it does.

I just like lambert and think he's earned his chance to play every game. Guly and jrod haven't, puncheon is an erratic player with little end product and a bad attitude.

Real shame the way things are going. Really think Ramirez, lallana and lee behind lambert would be top quality, but it seems a long way away.

Playing Lambert in the same role every game makes us predictable. Rooney doesn't play every game now does he. If nothing's leaked out during the week then this plan could well catch BFS by surprise.
