Have been quoted £599 just for conveyancing (without all the normal fees), which seems a bit steep? So looking at other options. Anyone have any good/bad experiences of just using an online company?
Dimond Geezer Posted 4 October, 2012 Posted 4 October, 2012 No idea about online companies, but we bought our first house through a conveyancer rather than a solicitor & saved ourselves a fortune. I have to say though it was a very simple transaction, the vendor was moving with her boyfriend & we were 1st timers.
goneawol Posted 4 October, 2012 Posted 4 October, 2012 My brother-in-law recently sold his late fathers house using housenetwork.co.uk for all aspects of the sale, he was very impressed with their service. His brother had previously used them for a house sale/purchase.
Thedelldays Posted 4 October, 2012 Posted 4 October, 2012 recently sold my flat in plymouth....outside of an estate agency...and just phoned up 3 local solicitors and went with the cheapest selling cost me £500 all in......I had to pay £50 up front..then about a month later another £50 and the rest came out of the sale money cant remember how much it cost the buyer (who is a mate of mine) but it was a bit more..I think his fee was around £700
