Not sure zepster, I can see why she might be considered fit, nice knockers etc. But I can also see how she could star in the next chipmunks movie and not need any make-up.*

*this is the point where you make a joke about stuffing her cheeks with your nuts.

You now need to pay for a new screen and keyboard as I just spurted coffee all over mine ! :-)

And thats ALL I spurted, thank you very much.

also, have you seen clips for elementary..? ffs

Is that the Sherlock Holmes? I heard Lucy Liu is playing Watson. I like her. Then I heard Jonny Lee Miller is playing Sherlock. I hate him... I'm torn. To be fair I'll probably end up watching it, if only so I can feel superior.

3) In the american version they is not so much taking the p!ss out of each other, they is all like "I love you man"

When I was in Japan Bear, I used to work with a lot of Americans and most of them were like this. They are either being boringly nice to each other or talking about their feelings. I think that when they remade the inbetweeners, they had to make it realistic for the American audiences.

If you watch American Pie carefully, there is a lot of 'I love you man' stuff in that too and loads of feelings stuff as well. I think they get away with it though as Stiffler is not like this and the other bits can be funny.

The worst thing about American programmes is that they don't seem to know or want to know when to stop. Like the Office in the UK was perfect for the 2 seasons and a special as was Extras, Inbetweeners etc. In America though it seems like they want to find a big franchise and then drag it out for as long as possible, until in the end after 12 seasons you hate the show you used to love.

hey bearsy..that is a good shout...they have given them the same script and it looks terrible

Elementary is not a remake of Sherlock, just a similar treatment of the same source material. Apart from the fact it is a bit unoriginal, it has been getting good reviews, the attitude very much being "Sherlock is better but it's nice to have this too".

I may give it a go.

A-Team

Crack commandos so proficient that they could unload magazines of automatic gunfire at the villains and never kill anyone. The show made a point of showing you that too, with the camera panning back to show people dusting themselves off after being in the midst of a violent explosion.

Knight Rider

Man with questionable stylings drives car of questionable sexuality.

Michael Knight, eh? Big hair, leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and more makeup than most of the women on the show.

It also continued the fine tradition out of creating a villain using nothing more than camera tricks and a goatee.

Numerous attempts to resurrect this show. I remember my Wigan mate losing his sh!t over Team Knight Rider ( "It's like Knight Rider, but thurra team!" ). I believe they all failed because they never respected the big hair and rolled up sleeves on leather jackets of the original show.

Baywatch

Utter pap. Substitute masturbatory material for lads who couldn't get girlfriends/porn.

It's disturbing that a 20 yr old hottie looks about 15 to me.

That's what paedos should do. They should be finding girls what is looking underage but is actually legals. It's a win-win situation. I might start a dating agency for paedos where we is having overage girls but we is having them malnourished, small breasted and hairless so they is attractive to paedos, but critically they is all over 18. There is clearly demand for this service. I would call it "www.legals4paedos.cock". I would probably get knighthood if you think bout it cos imagine all the poor girls they would be otherwise molesting, I would be saving the children. Also, I would sell the datas of all my clients to The Sun so they could be tracking them down and humiliating the sick f*cks.

I still fail to see the funny side of implying that I am a paedophile. The fact you find that amusing says more about you then me.

Give it up, if I was going to get banned it wouldve happened by now.

Now go back to defending Sir Jimmy, and tell the mums at your nursery you reckon it should all be left in the past.

I'm I the only remaining 'NYPD Blue' fan on here then ... oh well.

'Star Trek' (both TOS & TNG) of course but 'Salem's Lot', 'American Gothic' & 'LA law' were also more than watchable. 'Frasier' was just about as witty as TV ever gets, but More 4's massively underrated 'The Closer' seems to this TV addict to be easy the best written US series currently on our screens.

Other opinions are available .....

Games of Thrones has to be the best as it is such a game changer in terms of how it is constructed (around a story, not a location or characters) - obviously The Wire matches that genre and quality wise.

Other great favourites not mentioned

Fringe - starts like a poor - man's rip off of X-Files and gets better by the week and the development and depth of the (multiple) Walter Bishop characters is simply superb

House - OK it went on for a couple of years too long but again, what a great and complex character Hugh Lawrie created, and at the end, what a great way to finish the series off

Homeland - only now getting that over here and catching up with you guys, we're at episode 6 and starting to see so many potential angles and oddities building up

Also, because it is oddball and offbeat, a mention in dispatches to Once Upon a Time. It should be a kiddies show, but the way it just keeps putting new twists on old tales makes it good entertainment.

(Battlestar the remake for me was the moment when I think US Shows seemed to really step up, the effects and the quality of the acting and storyline just became a ground breaker, I know being down here we missed a lot & it's simplistic but it was kind of like pre Battlestar my memories of US TV = Baywatch & similar fluff. Post Battlestar - Gritty, realistic and absorbing.)

Oh and Fringe?

SPOILER ALERT for those who have not seen it go away from this post now

Notable for how our beloved Mr Spock turns into an utter Socio/Psycho-pathic evil nutjob.

Mr Spock an Evil Genius par Excellence. Never expected that

Sgt Bilko-Phil Silvers fantastic

NYPD Blue-Great show, fantastically written and acted, particulary Dennis Franz as Andy Sipowicz, one of the greatest portrail of a cop there's ever been.

Curb Your Enthusiasm- Larry David is a genius.

Homeland is quality, first episode of second series was on last night.

Entourage and Californication are such easy watching and so many attractive women in them! Is there still talk of an Entourage film being released ?

Prison Break is awesome, watched all of them twice through now. And Band of Brothers and the Pacific are epic viewing.

Never seen the Wire, and Dexter I started watching but just couldnt get into it for some reason.

It's actually pretty sympathetic of the muslims jb. Some of the wasps is far dumber.

So not like the treatment of Russians in the beginning of Red Dawn then? :)

I reckon The Wire maybe just pips the Breaking Bad in the slow-moving but brilliant writing stakes.

I do like the Breaking Bad, but it can sometimes be a bit

damien lewis is a mighty fine actor....everything he does is pure gold

Have you seen Life? He's great in that and the added bonus is Sarah Shahi - Sex on a stick as Kylie would say!

Agree. Although I've only just started season 3 of Breaking Bad so that may change.

Have I missed someone mentioning Oz? If not then I'll say Oz again. One of the first proper good HBO series.
