Turkish Posted 2 October, 2012 Share Posted 2 October, 2012 Yes do tell. The only thing I saw him say was it was a tough place to go and home games would be key this season. Didn't see anything at all that could be described as negative.

He is right that Goodison Park is a tough place to go to however many teams will suffer the same fate as us. That doesnt mean we should be despondent about playing away from home and just count on home games which is in effect what he is saying. Take away the top 6/7 teams there should be no team to fear playing home or away. Maybe the players dont believe in adkins tactics and gung ho approach when playing away. Window Cleaner Posted 3 October, 2012 Share Posted 3 October, 2012 Maybe the players dont believe in adkins tactics and gung ho approach when playing away. Well they won't get many win bonuses away from home that's for sure. If,as some maintain, the players pay structure is heavily biased towards results and league position I'd assume that they may not be too keen on losing and being in the bottom few. david in sweden Posted 3 October, 2012 Share Posted 3 October, 2012 (edited) What did Chaplow say?[/QUOTE] RC "apparantly" twittered.... that Goodsion was a difficult place to go (and win).........and away wins would be difficult ....(a comment also made by NA in his post match interview) where he said that we might expect to win 4 away games this season ..and would need to depend more on a good home record... .something I think that few of us would disagree with... To my knowledge, the number of games we won at Goodison during our " 27 seasons period " were so few they could be counted on the fingers of one hand .....giving a "V-sign " . just WHY some people suddenly think that this was a sign of " negativity " ....whereas many might consider.... it was quite realistic and admitting the obvious........ I do not know. Edited 3 October, 2012 by david in sweden

Do you mean that he should have (lied)....and said that we were unlucky .......and ought perhaps to have won? I'm sure that you don't believe that .....and neither do I, so what's wrong with being realistic and admitting the truth?.
