jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 I can't see us not conceding. 3-1 for me. Me to.
trousers Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Simon Peach @SimonPeach Schneiderlin back in full training today after knee injury so could play for #SaintsFC this weekend. #FFC too soon for Cork, though.
London Saint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Great, we miss Morgan when he's not playing. Gives us a bit more bite in midfield.
SaintNeil90 Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Just got a text from someone (not reliable) that Ramirez is injured... Have I missed something?
Junior Mullet Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Puncheon was unplayable for 15 mins of the second half vs Villa and must start.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Morgan being back would make me so much more confident.
Matthew Le God Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Just got a text from someone (not reliable) that Ramirez is injured... Have I missed something? Ramirez can be seen training today in the videos on Saints Player.
trousers Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Ramirez can be seen training today in the videos on Saints Player. With or without crutches?
LVSaint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 ...but he has some useful attacking players like Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert... And Gaston Ramirez? Why didn't he mention that?
Legod Third Coming Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Puncheon was unplayable for 15 mins of the second half vs Villa and must start. Yep, in front of both Clyne and Richardson, he looked a fabulous handful!
S-Clarke Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 And Gaston Ramirez? Why didn't he mention that? I wonder why.... conveniently not mentioning his name, as he knows he made himself look a little silly on that!
Dark Munster Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Shilton Dodd Killer Richards Bridge Davis - Le Tissier - Morgan Lalanna - Bale Shearer Comments - All players assumed to be in there prime, EOE! Richards is sadly not with us (RIP), and Morgan is touch and go fitness-wise.
Avenue Saint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Simon Peach @SimonPeach Schneiderlin back in full training today after knee injury so could play for #SaintsFC this weekend. #FFC too soon for Cork, though. Excellent news
THEVMAN Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Excellent news Just dont get to carried away and expect him to start
Avenue Saint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Just dont get to carried away and expect him to start But he'll be on the bench right? ...right Nige?
Horton Heath Saint Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 Another massive game. Think our supporters have been magnificent this season.
James Posted 5 October, 2012 Posted 5 October, 2012 COYR - 3-1 (gaston, Rickie and punch) - would be great to see Morgan back.
SNSUN Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Lack of respect for a good Fulham side I think. Whether we need to win games like this depends on our expectations and how we get on generally against the bottom 10. I see teams like Fulham and West Brom giving us competitive games home and away, but equally we could win home or away. All about taking chances on the day, remaining calm and patience, and a little bit of luck. Funny to think a win here and we'll be doing fine really. Especially for a team guaranteed relegation and completely written off in the first month by its own superfans. This is just it. 6 points after the run of games we've had would actually be a good start to the season. Apathy though is the tool of the devil, but from what I've seen so far, we have a sublime attack now that Ramirez has come in and started well and, as well as being at home, I can see a scoreline similar to the Villa game. Fulham aren't a bad team, but while they adjust to life without Dembele and Dempsey, they're there for the taking. A few goals better on the goal difference would be nice too. We've been working on the defence apparently, so we wait with bated breath to see if it's worked. I don't see a draw in this game. Either we'll play sublime football and smash them, or we'll end up with a Wiganesque result. I hope it's the former.
Soggy Bottom Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Just dont get to carried away and expect him to start I see Lee is in the latest training vids on SaintsPlayer, so he must be close as well, any info on Lee
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 I see Lee is in the latest training vids on SaintsPlayer, so he must be close as well, any info on Lee Japanese chap, runs fast, does Purple Archer celebration when he scores. HTH.
sperm_john Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 hopefully the curse of sky stays away, we are back to another 'needing three points' game .. I think Nigel needs to go for the jugular on this one, 2-1 saints with a 1-1 draw at half time
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 1:30 Kick off, annoyingly that's 4:30 on a busy work day, grumble moan groan.
Whitey Grandad Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 1:30 Kick off, annoyingly that's 4:30 on a busy work day, grumble moan groan. It's worse for us poor sods that have to go to the match. Buggers up Sunday lunch, public transport is reduced and people like me have great difficulty working out the day's schedule.
Dr. Kucho Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Just saw we are playing tomorrow and not today:blush: For a first I am agreeing with Lawro, think we will get our first clean sheet of the season, 2-0. Line up should be: ------------- Gazza ------------ Richardson ---- Fonte --- Yoshida --- Clyne ------- JWP -------- Davis -------- Puncheon ----- Ramirez -------- Lallana --------- Lambert ----------- Subs: Davis, Hooiveld, Mayuka, Schneiderlin, Rodriquez, Guly, Reeves.
Ex Ringwood Saint Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 First game of the season for me and my nipper. His last game( his first and only so far ) was the four nil defeat of Derby last season...te same woud be nice!!
paris Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Good news ahead of the game for the SFC family.... "@officialsaints: FULL TIME: SAINTS U18 2-1 MAN UTD U18 #saintsfc #saintsfcu18" BOOM !!!!
ToreSF Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Fulham were dreadful against West Ham a couple of weeks ago. It's a team we should win against if we want to stay up.
Avenue Saint Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Just been down to ticket office, she reckoned there's been over 28k sold so far... Got a great feeling about tomorrow.
Saint Garrett Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Would be a huge ask for Shaw to come in and have his prem debut on a 'must win game'. Also if Schneiderlin isn't fit, why risk him. JWP isn't a bad player he can do a job in there as can Fox.
Thedelldays Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 With today's results..... Wigan and reading giving away points..... We have a real chance to nudge further up the league.... We have a real chance now until end November to score some good points
MOSaint Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Given the rest of the games tomorrow a win can put us up to 14th at best (though I think Liverpool will win so should we win we'll probably go up to 15th) and have mid-table sides in striking distance.

JWP isn't a bad player he can do a job in there as can Fox. Fox is a 'bad' player !!!! Of that there is no doubt!
Dalek2003 Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Never mind the 'glamour ties', this is the sort fixture that we see us achieve or fail.

JWP isn't a bad player he can do a job in there as can Fox. The risk to start with Gazza a fortnight ago for an even bigger must win game shows NA has balls, serious balls.

We have a real chance now until end November to score some good points I have been saying this for a while now, that by the end of November we will see plenty more points on the board. Hopefully this place will not be so negative.
Dr Who? Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Never mind the 'glamour ties', this is the sort fixture that we see us achieve or fail. Like the Villa game! Not a must win, but I think we will, and at home is where we will stay up. Saying that we are set up to counter attack.
Graffito Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Allow extra time if traveling from London. The usual Sunday malarkey. Anything up to 2h 44m from Waterloo.
tisspahars Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 There is a South American guy on Twitter saying Ramirez is out of tomorrow's game and Uruguay's WC qualifiers. I don't know him from Adam, but I fear we are going to be very deflated when the teams come through tomorrow....
RobM Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Fox is a 'bad' player !!!! Of that there is no doubt! No, he isn't. He just isn't a Premier League player. I would stick with Clyne / Richardson again, as at least we have experienced defenders in those positions.

dannysfc Posted 6 October, 2012 Posted 6 October, 2012 Am looking forward to this game as I think We'l bounce back and Beat Fulham 3-1 I hope with goals from Lambert, Lalanna and Ramirez-(?!)/Schneiderlin-(?!) for Saints and Rodallega/Sidwell for Fulham But We'l See!!! As long as Saints give it a Good Go then I will be Happy and a Win would be a Bonus too But We'l See...!!! COYR!!!
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 October, 2012 Posted 7 October, 2012 I think this will be our first draw of the season 2-2. However, I can also see this being a hard game and with some key players out, Fulham will be no pushover - far from it - so it could end up 1-3. IF we lose, then I do fear for Adkins position - while winning became a habit last season, it could equally be said that a losing mentality may be starting to set-in to the players minds and if that's true then managerial change could become an inevitable consequence. There are experienced top Managers waiting in the wings for a pop at keeping us up I suspect. It's probably true to say the decision will rest on the nature of the defeat (if it happens) rather than the actual result itself - i.e. another game lost due to conceding late or tactical substitutions going horribly wrong.

ericofarabia Posted 7 October, 2012 Posted 7 October, 2012 1:30 Kick off, annoyingly that's 4:30 on a busy work day, grumble moan groan. Putting plan C into operation now - - numerous swaps and begging means I will hopefully only work till 4.30 instead of 10pm so might make the start of the 2nd half. Fingers crossed.
david in sweden Posted 7 October, 2012 Posted 7 October, 2012 according to BBC stats. Fulham haven't won a League game against Saints in .....77 years, let's hope they don't start now ....
