see, we look far more solid this half and created a few chances....why again has it taken the first half to be written off to get it right..?

Let's be honest, I think we're looking more comfortable because Everton have taken their foot off. If they played at the same intensity they could still score many more goals if they wanted. They're letting us have a feel of it.

Changes made then Alpine...give it a minute before you complain that they are the wrong ones..

Already two others have posted that Reeves coming on wasnt anticipated. But if Clyne is injured then it was enforced.

So the only thing to change the game NA can think of is Mayuka. Lets see. Personally I would have brought on him or Puncheon and Chaplow for Ward-Prowse to try to restrict the chance of a counter through the midfield.

Because the manager is still learning and so are the players. And he's learning about them.

@officialsaints: Looks like Mayuka and @BenReevo will be on shortly for Saints. #saintsfc

TBH way overdue. I'd rather lose four or five attempting to get back in te game than three not even trying. How often have you seen a team who haven't been in a match get a goal 10-20 mins from time and the whole match changes? Looks like damage limitation. I'd rather go down fighting and show some balls.

You only get 3 points whether you win 3-1 or 10-1,

One word to sum up this performance: Naive.

But that's the manager all over.

2-1 up against United and made three changes in two minutes?

You have to accept Adkins is learning. He's had six games at the highest level. What do you expect, Mourinho?

We didnt bring enough PL experience in during the summer, we played a nice theoretical paper-exercise in the market. Combined with a manager with no experience at this level, it was always going to be a baptism of fire. Lets hope they all learn fast.

True. However, it will still help our confidence in the future. We can still do OK against lesser or out of from teams later on. It's gonna be a relegation fight.

Still reckon NA is close to the edge. We'll need to get something against Fulham next week I think.

The fulham holding Man City to a draw and currently riding high 4th in table, you mean ??

crowd is pretty quiet for large parts for a team that is winning 3-1? ah well, this was expected facing one of the in form teams of league. felt the subs were made too late to make any effect...

He is. We're the 6th highest spending club in the country. You think the Chairman is playing a long game? No chance.

Either Adkins learns fast or you will see a proven manager in the hotseat.

It's neither right nor wrong, it's just what happens when you gamble £35million.

I was always for sacking Burley before it was too late, history proved me correct I think. A manager out of his depth is irredeemable.

Random, late subs. Think Nige is running out of ideas tbh.

Not sure Chaplow coming on is random, just overdue. Whatever you think about his quality, or lack of it I'd have rather had him as an extra body in the middle that JRod doing bugger all up top.
