Saint Garrett Posted 28 September, 2012 Share Posted 28 September, 2012 Not quite near enough to the game for a build up thread, but looks like Berbatov will be missing which is a huge blow for them. http://www.london24.com/sport/fulham/berbatov_to_miss_man_city_and_southampton_clashes_with_injury_1_1534948 Fulham manager Martin Jol has revealed that former Manchester United star Dimiatar Berbatov has suffered an injury in training that will keep him out of action for two weeks. The 31-year-old will miss the visit of champions Manchester City tomorrow, and their trip to newly promoted Southampton next weeked. The news comes as a big blow for the Cottagers, as the Bulgarian had made a superb start to life at Fulham, scoring twice on his full debut against West Brom. “Unfortunately Dimitar is injured now and can’t play on Saturday so that is the disappointing thing,” said Jol “He will be out for the next two weeks. “In his session he was looking good, as usual, and then his final shot he felt something and he had to go in and stop training. It appears he had – not a tear – but a sort of problem with his hip and upper thigh so we couldn’t take the risk to involve him against City.”

JRM Posted 28 September, 2012 Share Posted 28 September, 2012 I bet he is fit enough in time for our game on the sunday! Fulham have already sold out the first allocation of 1800 tickets we sent them last week, and have now been given another 700 to take the allocation up to 2500, not sure if they will sell all of those, but surprised with that as was only expecting to bring about 800 for a televised game on a sunday lunchtime. Bit early to start posting about attendance - you'll wake The Kraken!
