OldNick Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 My wife just stated that many of the BNP policies would sit comfortably with the Tory right. I'd be hard pushed to argue otherwise!Charles Kennedy was a member of the socialist worker party i think you will find, Alistair Darling also has very left wing agendas in his past. We are in very dangerous times, some would love anarchy and the fall of capitalism but IMO it is not something that should be wished for. there again some are happy for Saints to go into administration and so why should I be surprised? Dicko Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 The BNP says that Britain is full and it’s time to shut the door and to kick out all immigrant criminals, bogus asylum seekers and anti-Western Islamists. The BNP would slash taxes by abolishing all Politically Correct bureaucracy and insisting that every able bodied person pays their way instead of expecting to sponge off the rest of us. The BNP would restore British freedom, independence and prosperity by getting out of the EU. The BNP believes that the banking system should serve productive industry and the real economy, rather than the other way round. The BNP would treat criminals as the anti-social vermin they are, and make deterrence and fair play for victims the fundamental aims of the criminal justice system. I think the BNP get an unfair press These are attitudes and policies that many non-racist people would support

Hatch Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 I remember when the BNP did a leaflet drop in my street a couple of years ago. About 20 of them came posting the leaflets, and they had about 5 or 6 of what appeared to 'minders', they snuck in under the cover of darkness, raced around and were gone again in about 30 seconds. It was very amusing watching them trying not to be recognised. oh, and their leaflet was littered with spelling mistakes.
Guest Hacienda Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 The BNP have also said that black people are not welcome at their meetings.... That simply isn't true. In Tipton there are a number of Sikh members of the BNP. They joined in the aftermath of the Tipton Taliban revelations. Their policy on race is that those decedents of commonwealth immigrants that helped rebuild post war Britain have every right to be here. It's Islam that really sets them off!!! Wiltshire Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 It worries me that people fail to recognise the BNP as a racist party. I'm not sure there's anything that will ever change these peoples minds, certainly not cyber conversations about it. The party may claim not to be racist, but if many of the members are racist and the leader is racist, doesn't that pretty much amount to the same thing? "All black people will be repatriated, even if they were born here" "We must preserve the white race, because it has been responsible for all the good things in civilisation" BNP leader Nick Griffin, Wales on Sunday, 1996. April 1998 - Nick Griffin found guilty of incitement to racial hatred. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3894529.stm Are people saying the content of this report and/or the undercover filming that took place does not indicate racism? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=04QolIvfQEw&feature=related Maybe attending meetings with former KKK leaders is a sign of racial tolerance? Listen to what Griffin says. He talks about selling his party's ideas, not selling out their ideas. In other words, make their racism more palatable. It seems to have worked on some people. SuperMikey Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 The BNP f*cking disgust me. One of the things that I detest about this country is that the party even exists, let alone has members. I'm sickened by the fact that there are no less than 30 members of the BNP within 6 and a half miles of where I live, there's a member who lives 191 yards from me and another member just round the corner from me. I think the BNP get an unfair press These are attitudes and policies that many non-racist people would support Dicko, some of the BNPs policies are not entirely unreasonable, at least not in print. No-one denies this, but it's clear they have to be for them to become more 'legitimate' in many eyes. Anyway, me and my crazy, drippy, communist, hippy, tree hugging gay ilk, would do this, instead. We say Britain is infinite, and it’s never time to shut the door on anyone, ever. We don't bother to think about econonmic pragmatics at all, and in fact give all immigrants (especially the illegal ones and criminals) gol mansions and all our jobs and women. Also, we hate the West so much that we actively invote anti-Western Islamists. Particularly Islamists, but actually, we also invite any extremists, as long as they're not christian, because we hate them and all other Western things. Actually, we help train Al Qaeda operatives. And we're all gay. We would RAISE taxes hugely by deliberatly advocating and promoting all Politically Correct bureaucracy and insisting that every able bodied person pays their way instead of expecting to sponge off the rest of us. We would restrsict British freedom, independence and prosperity by getting out of the EU as it's not leftie enough for us. In fact, we would just destroy all industry for a laugh, and join the US as a state, as it's even less free than the EU. We believe that the banking system be served productive industry and the real economy, rather than the other way round. We would treat criminals as the Gods they are, and make deterrence and fair play for victims the fundamental enemies of the criminal justice system. We are so overly obsessed with over PC leftie loony over PC-ness that, in a effort to be equal, we would kill all christians and have Islamic symbols everywhere, and mandatory Qu'uran readins. Also, we are so opposed to oppression that we would force everyone to be gay and black. Or we will shoot them. The thing is, half of you crazies do genuinely seem to think that having left of centre ideals, in any area, let alone policies, is fundamentally anti-British. I mean, come one. The BNP isn't genius in saying that they value freedom and independence. It isn't alone in disliking Islamic, or any other, extremism. it isn't alone in wanting to protect British people. It isn't alone in thinking some of the more crazy examples of bureaucracy are simply daft. These things are NOT HARD TO WRITE. Who is stupid enough to believe other parties actively like stupidity, are anti-British interests, hate ****es and christians, etc? It's so cheap, so retarded. PS - Stanley - as it happens, in ideal terms, I don't think there should be the MOBO awards or black police federation etc etc. At all. or at least, I don't think they should have any more right to exist than a white equivalent. the problem is about balance, and while imbalance in society remains, minorities will always have more mediums such as this. A hegemony doesn't need them. Edited 25 November, 2008 by Robsk II

Robsk II Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 (edited) I think that's an outdated, irrational view, frankly. The world is not as it was 100 years ago, let alone 500. it will never be the same again. the world is, more than ever, a melting pot. Insular ideas are pointless and doomed to fail. it is better to accept and work within reality. Britain is not a white country. Britain is a country of people, simple as that. Regardless of faith, etc, as long as basic ideals and so on are upheld, there's no issue as far as I can see. I actually agree that immigrants should largely adapt to our culture - or at the least, abide by our laws and important customs. It comes with the choice to move here. The thing is, I also thing natives should abide by them, and half of them don't. many white people are ignorant, nasty, naive morons, who have little regard for the ideals of Britishness. Also, regardless of whether you see it as a problem or not, any hegemony will generally be balanced out by a more vocal minority. it's why you don't get "straight rights" marches - because straight people already have the rights. it's not that complex. Some of it is unfortunate - as an example, at around the same time as the Stephen lawrence case (obviously covered a lot in the media, but also clearly a nasty, nasty crime perpetrated by ignorant morons), there was another racist murder, just as barbaric, perhaps more so, also motivated by race and ignorance - but by a group of Asians on a white kid who had nothing to do with anything. In theory, it's disgusting that the latter got hardly any media coverage - but the media covers things by perceived social importance, I guess, and there simply IS more of an issue, and a greater prevelance, of white on minority race hate crime. That's why. I'd never say it's ideal. If rights etc and the more subtle, intangible social balances, were all well and good - then it would be inexcusable. Yet I can understand it. Most importantly, all were brought to justice, which is what matters. Edited 25 November, 2008 by Robsk II

I presume you have heard of Idi Amin and the Ugandan Asians? He gave them 90 days to leave, and most came here....and built businesses and created jobs, while Uganda went into freefall. I would love to hear a logical argument for repatriation and a sensible mentod of it being conducted. Who would be sent back? Blacks? Asians? What about people of mixed race? Eastern Europeans? Western Europeans? Americans? What about black people from America? What about Robinho? What about Chris Birchall.... Your opinions are distasteful, racist and idiotic. In Lincs/Cambs the issue is around those from Eastern Europe and in some of the old industrial areas, it's centred around Pakistan and in some parts of London Somali/Yemen. You'd have to be insane to suggest that immigration hasn't had its benefits but unregulated immigration, combined with the now discredited mantra of multi-culturalism has led to serious issues, not least of all for the immigrants who find themselves locked into poverty by their lack of English and skills. Taking something that has been argued by one side and casually stating it as a now accepted fact when it isn't anything of the sort. There are still plenty of ways in which different cultures live side by side happily. Immigration has also been regulated for many years, that's why we have the phrase "illegal immigrant". Guest Hacienda Posted 26 November, 2008 Share Posted 26 November, 2008 I hate this common tactic in argument by both left wing and right wing groups. Taking something that has been argued by one side and casually stating it as a now accepted fact when it isn't anything of the sort. There are still plenty of ways in which different cultures live side by side happily. Multiculturalism is dead. The duality of existence where cultures were encouraged to exist alongside one another stopped integration, encouraged segregation and was a failure, especially for some of the poorest and least educated of the immigrant groups. It was a waste of money that increased, rather than decreased tensions. That is not to say people of different faiths, colours and credos can't and don't live side by side happily, they clearly do, thankfully, but more so as a single community as opposed to a fractured and disconnected series of communities. I work for one of the most PC organisations in the UK and the change in the last 18-24 months has been astonishing. For example, 24 months ago, in a Pakistani woman had wanted to study on an English course all the litreature would have been available in Urdu and a Muslim Women only course, taught by a Muslim woman (qualified or not) would have been organised. Most would have come veiled and accompanied to and from by men. They often didn't last as there was a cultural issue around women being better educated than the men. Not anymore. Now all literature is in English only, the classes are mixed based on ability rather than cultural issues and the staff are a mix of male and female, black and white, Muslim and non Muslim. The numbers of Pakistani women engaged on courses has soared as has their attainments. Eid, Diwali etc are enjoyed by all and barriers as well as stereotypes are being eroded. Immigration has also been regulated for many years, that's why we have the phrase "illegal immigrant". What you're saying is that you don't agree with current regulations or the way in which they are enforced. I'll accept that. I've always thought that the points system that Oz, NZ and Canada use to be the sensible option.

It's easier just to dismiss people as racists
