Danbert Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 From the Grauniad: Manchester City may loan out midfielder Abdi Ibrahim, with a number of Premier League clubs including Norwich, Wigan, Southampton and Reading in the running for his signature. The Kraken Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 Can he also play at left back?
Mowgli Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 Don't really need midfielders. Don't need loans (unless they are young and hungry with an option to buy). Can't sign loans before January. Not sure he's any better than what we have. Has he actually done anything yet in his brief career to warrant interest? the stain Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 I've never heard of him. If he's any good it could be worth looking into. By January we could have injuries/loss of form/fatigue that need covering. I'm not adverse to loan signings, they can sometimes work out very well. Tokyo-Saint Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 When papers say a club is "in the race to sign him" what they actually mean is that he is being watched by that club's scouts, probably along with 20 or so other players. Doctoroncall Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 We need the twitter folks to start asking questions to the agents and footy journos, then we'll know for sure.
Window Cleaner Posted 27 September, 2012 Share Posted 27 September, 2012 Hmm a 21 year old serial loanée, doubt if he's even good enough for our reserves. Has played a whole 24 games to date, half of them at S****horpe. Just because you've got a deal at Man City (who go in for bulk buying) doesn't mean you're any good. Anyway, clubs need to be made to stop signing players that they have no need of, Arse and Man C must have about 80 pros on their books each.
