Looked dead and buried yesterday

Have to say, for a sport of fair play, the yank golf fans are an embarrassment.

Hardly anyone of them clapped the winners... The course was completely altered for their game and their jeering and sledging was embarrassing

What an amazing come back

Oh good.

This year had been lacking in good sport to watch until now...

What an utterly incredible cap to the greatest summer of sport we'll ever see.

I'm trying to remember all of it, can't believe it all happened this summer.

Saints promoted

Euro's in Poland and Ukraine

Wiggins wins TDF

London hosts Olympics

London host Paralympics

Franchitti wins Indy 500

Murray wins US Open

Button wins Belgian GP

Europe wins Ryder Cup

There's probably more but I can't remember.

In this year of many contenders for spoty, Poulter last night is up there with them all as our tatet says OMG on telly

Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

So many contenders this year it's almost unfair to award it

The football segment of SPOTY will be something like

"Football, the premier league was exciting for all of the last 30 seconds as City bought the title, Chelsea became kings of Europe by trying not to lose and there were a couple of cup finals, apparently. Onto our next sport ...."

My golfing hero. I had the pleasure of following him at Walton Heath (might have been European Open?) many many years ago.

what an amazing few hours of golf and what a tribute to Seve.

Ditto. My first ever weekend as a Volunteer Marshall I walked with him on the second day. 2nd hole he hooked his drive around 150 yards left of the hole missing an adjacent fairway and landing in sand with trees all around him. His chip landed 4 inches from the hole and hit the pin leaving him a tap in ridiculous birdie.

Such a pleasant man on the course, swearing like a trooper at his own failings but stopping to chat when play allowed with anyone who gave him encouragement

He was the main driver to get Europe involved in the Ryder Cup & behind the move to Valhalla.

That moment last night when the cloud painting appeared in the sky as Lawrie (I think) played in to the 12th was a really special moment. Great respect to whoever organised (and produced) that

Hahaha Sometimes people must wish the ground would open and swallow them....

http://espn.go.com/golf/rydercup12/story/_/id/8434982/ryder-cup-all-locked-us

MEDINAH, Ill. -- For those who think this Ryder Cup is finished, think again. Team Europe can still win if the following five things happen Sunday:

-- Keegan Bradley is abducted.

-- Team USA captain Davis Love III inserts Cup spectators Michael Jordan, President George W. Bush, Amy Mickelson and the Rev. Jesse Jackson into the singles lineup.

-- Lee Westwood: U.S. citizen.

[+] Enlargepga_g_poulter11_300.jpgBRENDAN SMIALOWSKI/AFP/GettyImagesTalk about intense. Ian Poulter's blazing back-nine effort kept Europe's slim hopes alive for retaining the Ryder Cup. Very slim hopes.

-- Marty McFly shows Team Europe captain Jose Maria Olazabal how to go back in time. Last Friday morning will do.

-- Team Europe wins eight of the remaining 12 matches to retain the cup.

Never mind. It's over. Olazabal can click off the walkie-talkie and take the IFB out of his ear. Time for the Europeans to fire up the private jets and head back home to Florida.

SPOTY will be whoever the Man Utd fans fix it for this year. Forget Ennis, Farrah, Murray, Poulter, Franchitti, Simmonds and Wiggins. Phil Jones has this one in the bag.

OK Ryder Cup types

A quick heads up for you.

The Ryder Cup in 2014 will obviously be a monster sell out. So thought I would let you know that you can Pre-Register your details so that you get all the mail shots leading up to the sale.

At the same time, you can also express interest in working as a Volunteer (they need 1,400 Volunteers). Not sure whether that would get any of us near my normal walk with the stars stuff from Dubai but anyway here are the links

http://www.europeantour.com/rydercup/tickets/index.html

You need to register on myeuropeantouor.com (you can play Fantasy Race to Dubai and other krap)

Then just tick the boxes for newsletters tickets and volunteers.

I'll wave at y'all over the weekend from the Earth Course here in Dubai as usual. FMDP will be wearing the old Sash shirt on Thursday, and maybe the new home kit Friday IF she can get out of doing the gardening :)
