John bond good lad . My recollections of him was that he missed out on the next Peter shilton . I was a goal keeper at the time and went fir a trial with Bournemouth and boscombe when he was there somehow he and his coaches made me play centre forward . I'm no outfield player . So they never saw my ability as a gk . Such is life . RIP john

He and Kevin also used to deliver Sandwiches to an office block I worked at in Southampton in the mid 90s. Was a bit bizarre buying my cheese & Pickle sarnies from someone so relatively famous. Shows how the money in football has changed in a relatively short period of time. Somehow I can't imagine that Harry Redknapp is currently hawking butties around the office blocks of Bournemouth.

'What sandwiches have you got left Harry?'

'Well, y'know, I'm down to the bare bones.....'
