no names (I'm not ITK).. but common sense says....an older, more experienced former international defender.. .and not necessarily British!

 

perhaps ....only a short-term contract, but another in the NC/NA mould of surprise signings.

Please. I asked for Boruc and he was delivered, now one of them will do nicely for a season - both great players for Shaw to learn from as well.

Between hem they've played for Juventus, Barcelona, Inter and Millan so could probably handle the pressure that comes with paying for a club like Southampton.

I think you only have to look at players like Scholes - sometimes what the legs are lacking can be made up for by speed of thought, positional sense, anticipation and just general experience. Grosso and Zambrotta have been there, done it and either would be excellent signings.

Exciting! If we get a decent LB in then even I will start to be positive. Just a CB reinforcement in January and I will be very happy!

There's nothing ITK there I don't think, just an assumption of what he expects us to do.
