Asaint4ever Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Clyne for me! What a player, and Ramirez was class his movement and passing is scary.
badgerx16 Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Yoshida did well, Clyne made up for his first half, Ramirez pulled the strings in attack, but I'm going for SRL - the first goal was crucial and his work rate across the full width of the pitch was excellent. dvaughanwilliams Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez, but it could have been Puncheon, Lallana, Lambert or Maya.
Saint_Mabes Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Clyne closely followed by Yoshida, closely followed by Lallana, closely followed by Lambert, closely followed by Ramirez!
trousers Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez gets the vote on class alone but my MOTM is Lallana. Superb all round display

Saint Garrett Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez or Puncheon. Clyne was pretty bad first half, Ramirez was just awesome. Feel privileged to have him

paulwantsapint Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 If only Lallana could shoot he would have wrapped up mom But Gaston was everywhere that was good
doc oli Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Rickie shades it just for the two goals and an assist (two if you count setting up the penalty), but Gaston was absolute class. Exquisite pass to Clyne.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 We scored 4 goals, out which Ricky scored two, and was second or third last on three (!!). My vote goes to him. Although Gaston was very good, he shone the most when Villa had given up.
Arizona Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez and Puncheon ripped them to pieces. Lallana and Clyne were also quality. Lambert was everywhere, Morgan and Davis brilliant, Yoshida won everything... What a choice, but Gaston edges it for me. World class!!
melmacian_saint Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 We should all vote for Fox. After all his substitution was key for to our change of fortunes. Although by my chain of thought we should be voting for Richardson instead... Clyne for me!

JackanorySFC Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, absolute no brainer. 4 world class through balls, what vision that lad has! Strong on the ball and exceptional first touch. Can't believe I'd live to see saints sign someone as obviously World class as him!
Saint Martini Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez for me, he was good in both halves. Had an assist and was instrumental in the 3rd goal aswell. Lallana worked hard but apart from the assist he made the wrong choices often which lead to him wasting chances. Clyne was good in one half and lost the ball in the leadup to the 0-1, Yoshida was great but could have done more to prevent their goal (the main culprit was Fox). pingwing Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Clyne, made fox look an absolute tit. All are full back problems are sorted with clyne at lb and Richardson at RBI! Plus clyne scored an excellent finish to round off a great team performance
Chez Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I thought Steven Davis had a tremendous game in the middle, he was everywhere and totally dominating things with Morgan to provide and endless supply of ball to Ramirez et al. Lots of fantastic work that will have probably gone unnoticed compared to the delightful stuff shown by Gaston. What a player he looks. Any tell me who he reminds you of. Tall, languid style reminds me of someone, but I'm not sure who... Fonte was also top notch. So many good performances. Puncheon second half for example really got his act together...great team display, especially after the break.
Roger Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I thought Lallana was superb all over the pitch. Couldn't disagree more. Ramirez makes Lallana look silly. Lallana doesn't know when to play it.

Come on. Ramirez good, you could see the quality he can offer but to say he was the best player on the pitch? First proper game in the EPL, fair play, he can get better and tthat can only be good for us, but to suggest that he ran the show do me favour! The games about end product and Adam worked hard but his end product was poor today. You need to watch the game again and see Lallana's effort and involvement in every third of the pitch, because you obviously missed it first time around. Sure, many of the magical moments came from the feet of Ramirez but we would not have won that game without Lallana's contribution. "Ramirez makes Lallana look silly", my arse. God, you do come out with some drivel.

CanadaSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Okay sorry was harsh thing to say Adam does work hard but has to work on final ball. That I completely agree with, and he also needs to shoot more often. But IMO he made a major contribution today all over the pitch. And I have a feeling that Ramirez will be very good for him - giving him more space, rewarding his runs, showing him a thing or two, and so on. Bearsy Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I give it to Ricky. I really liked his equalising goal! I don't reckon anyone strikes the ball cleaner than Ricky, not in the whole Premier League. It's so sweet when you get a penalty and you're not even slightly worried bout ur dumbass striker scuffing it.
Bearsy Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 That I completely agree with, and he also needs to shoot more often. I think the opposite. Adam and Punch I'd say should only be allowed to pass the ball into the net. If it needs a smack, let Ricky do it. Or Gaston.
Golac's Iron Gonads Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I have to say I'm stunned that Ramirez's game is so highly rated, he looked impressive in the last 20 minutes but I thought he strolled around doing his best to avoid the ball in the first half. In the second half he at least looked like he wanted the ball but his passing seemed often under hit and he slowed down most attacks, in my eyes he didn't start playing until we were 3-1 up and the space opened up a bit. For me Ricky's touch and control were phenomenal today, his running excellent and he banged 2 in, easy MotM, followed by Clyne and Lallana. Ireland going off helped us greatly too.
