Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 did OK first half...gave away a very poor goal felt the tension in 1st half players been excellent in training new lads fit right in massive togetherness in the ground, fans brilliant could have had more, easily EVERYONE is united at this club...from the chairman down and have to let other speculate need to be a tad sharper when passing the ball great great day for everyone at southampton.. Love Nigel and really think he deserves to stay even if we dont stay up
david in sweden Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 if we get results against a few more " ordinary " Prem.sides...like Villa, then we're get a truer picture of our real status... playing the likes on MC, MU and Arse. every week doesn't give a true picture of anyone's form. red&white56 Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Next week will be interesting - Everton doing very well but clearly not considered a "big club". If we can come away with a draw then I'll feel very positive.

This is so true, we had good spells against both Manc teams but ended up losing. People only look at the league table and think we must be hopeless, but it was such a tough start for us and apart from Arse hardly outplayed. God, Villa were awful today and look serious relegation candidates unless they get there sh*t together. They were lightweight in midfield and largely clueless up front and if this is the standard of the average PL club outside the top six, then we should finish seventh! Ramirez puts us above this type of team as they don't have his quality and the other new signings along with the likes of AL & RL should mould into a side well above the "ordinary". CanadaSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 He's a great believer in positivity so it was really good to see him get some positive reinforcement from the fans. His reaction to "There's only one Nigel Adkins" was actually quite touching in the cold, calculating, unforgiving world of the Premier League. And there are a lot of 'ordinary' teams in the league so hopefully we will get a few more wins Coyr

I thought that as well, was mentioned on R5 and put the fans in a really good light
