Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Puncheon's fault notfox Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2 Clyne actually
Bananaman Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 whilst it does not excuse that shambles of a defensive showing.. The decision to call Adam offside when he was clearly on, led to that goal...
Suhari Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Poor, poor defending. No-one taking responsibility. So static.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 This villa team are nothing at all either
the wedge Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Awful awful goal. Everything we do, apart from one or two of our best players, is one pace behind every team we've played so far. We're struggling to adjust to the pace of the league here. Which is half our problem I think.
Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 This villa team are nothing at all either good enough to stop us scoring and wait till we f*ck up though
suewhistle Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 ****, **** both Clyne and punch stupid errors in not clearing and a mi**** into the box b*****s
hypochondriac Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Our midfield is just terrible. The other teams seem to have so much space whereas we always get closed down.
OttawaSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 team are so jittery, one mistake and it's in our net. They know that, Villa know that. We need something, anything to get the confidence flowing and get our tails up. A Ramirez rocket would suffice...
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Let's be honest.... We should be better than this... So slow getting the ball forward... Lots of square-ways passing
hypochondriac Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I'm sure they're trying their best. Well then their best isn't good enough. Something needs changing...
Ewell Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 It all looks rushed, little care in the passing, poor final balls we seem quite nervous. Danny Fox massively at fault for the goal yet again.
badgerx16 Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Apparently the last time we played Villa at home in the Prem Steven Davis scored the winner.
Edmonton Saint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 We are really poor again. Lacking pace. look so one-dimensional its frightening.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Well then their best isn't good enough. Something needs changing... This is a terrible performance..... We seem to be hoofing it all the time.... I fear for adkins if we go out with a whimper in this game
hypochondriac Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Fox clyne and puncheon have been terrible. After a bright start Adam has been poor too
Maggie May Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 It's definitely confidence now, not ability. Something needs to happen fast, otherwise it'll get worse. I'm fearing we'll emulate Derby's last season in the Premier League at this rate.
the wedge Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Our passing is so off the mark again today. Confidence we had built up is rapidly fading away, but we've got to keep fighting here. For NA's sake as much as anyone else's.
Secret Site Agent Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 NA had better have a good Half Time talk up his sleeve. Perhaps we should just go to hoof ball.
saint lard Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Lose this and Adkins will be shown the door I suspect. hoped he would deliver in this league but had my doubts deep down from when he was appointed that he could be here long term, still possible to turn it around though.here's hoping. he is without doubt the one of the best managers outside the Premier League. i don't think he will be given time to acclimatise, that doesn't mean he shouldn't be given the time.....but time will eventually run out for him. Please turn it around second half.
hypochondriac Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 This is a terrible performance..... We seem to be hoofing it all the time.... I fear for adkins if we go out with a whimper in this game And quite rightly. Our success this season means absolutely millions. Adkins not good enough so far.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 NA had better have a good Half Time talk up his sleeve. Perhaps we should just go to hoof ball. Well are hoofing it... This is such a pish poor display One poor effort on target If we lose this game like this then adkins is in big trouble as we are better than this
MOSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Fox, Clyne, Puncheon have had stinkers first half. Lambert and Lallana not much better.
Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 game over certainly isn't but we need a bit more punch up front. Lallana needs to up his game I suspect.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 And quite rightly. Our success this season means absolutely millions. Adkins not good enough so far. I don't buy into the thought that no one else can do better as we are better than the utter Turd on display at the mo
Dalek2003 Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Looks increasingly as though we got promoted a season too soon. Still, I know it is not a popular opinion, but I half think the management suspected we would get relegated with the bonus of the Premier compensation. we have to be strong as a club, but it is not going to be pleasant if we stay rooted to the foot of the table !
hypochondriac Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I'm still angry that we didn't further strengthen the defence. Its such a huge error.
Ohio Saint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 How they come out for the second half will be crucial, and set the scene for future games.
MOSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Yoshida must be thinking what he's gotten himself into considering the level of defensive talent around him.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I'm still angry that we didn't further strengthen the defence. Its such a huge error. That would not stop us giving the ball away in our own third.... Puncheon and golden bollix Clyne pishing about... I thought Fonte and Yoshida looked good generally
Dr. Kucho Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 On the positive side, we play some nice football at times passing it around. But after that goal all confidence seems to have gone and we struggle to keep the ball. Lallana had a decent start and Ramirez has shown some of his skills. Schneiderlin and Yoshida also having a decent game. Puncheon and Clyne having a poor game and Lambert seems of the pace. For the second half I would think of bringing Rodriguez on for Lambert and maybe Guly for Puncheon. COYR we can do this, lets get our first points of the season!
CWD Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Where does Fox go? His positional sense is really appalling. On the plus side we have been the better team, and Fonte is starting to acclimatise to PL level. It's just final ball that lets us down time and time again.
Saint Garrett Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I'm at the game, really not that bad. Better team by far one attack and they score, repeat......WE WILL BE OK
Stepgar Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Has AL Missus had her baby yet? Could his head be one where else?
MOSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 That would not stop us giving the ball away in our own third.... Puncheon and golden bollix Clyne pishing about... I thought Fonte and Yoshida looked good generally Yoshida was MOM first half for me, nothing he or Fonte could have done about the goal.
saint michael Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 defence is sitting deep and gap between them and attack is big and midfield not coping too great a task for them so it will start going lng over their heads. Sign of low confidence and very similar to last season in prem. They have to believe and close up.... come on Nige over to you
MAY-Z Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 If Davis was in goal would everyone be slating him for not coming off his line to collect the ball which led to the goal?
Crab Lungs Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 If I was an impartial viewer, I'd think Villa were a non-league team. However, with EPL, one defensive lapse (no guesses as to who) and we're 0-1 down. Saints passing has been superb and they've dominated but haven't created anything clear cut. Wouldn't want to compromise that playing style for the ****e Villa "play" though.
MOSaint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Where does Fox go? His positional sense is really appalling. On the plus side we have been the better team, and Fonte is starting to acclimatise to PL level. It's just final ball that lets us down time and time again. He was there for the goal, for some reason he just decided to let Bent shoot.
Thedelldays Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I'm at the game, really not that bad. Better team by far one attack and they score, repeat......WE WILL BE OK Well.. On telly we are not that great... Keep giving the ball away and poor effort on target... And this is a poor villa team
Convict Colony Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 I know Adkins loves stats and KPI's so thought i would post a review of that half according to 4-4-2 stats zone app on the iphone we have had the following: 58.5% possession Territory 54.5% 175 out of 247 passes completed villa have managed 113 In the attacking 3rd we have completed 56/91 passes, villa 22/51 However for some reason we have done more defensive tackles than villa 12 v 8. So in my rubbish supposition we are passing well but the final ball is usually **** as villa aren't having to tackle or block which seems to explain Puncheons influence on the game.
adrian lord Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Looking grim. This sort of game is an imperative for a result. Ten to midnight for NA I am afraid.
latter day saint Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 passing is so poor today from us. no option in the middle when the ball has gone in wide areas, just a massive empty space in front of the villa box. untill the goal i thought the defence had done well, with Fonte having a good game. few players need a rocket up there ass for the 2nd half
lordswoodsaints Posted 22 September, 2012 Posted 22 September, 2012 Ramirez playing too far off lambert and lamberts getting a bit frustrated with it by the looks of it.
