Huffton Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Ok not exactly Saints related, but the lad is lining up against the dirty cheating skate bastards this afternoon. Come on Bartman, do us proud!
red&white56 Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I read a report of a County game last week-end and it mentioned Bart making brilliant saves......... Maybe all he needed was a fresh start??
Saint-Armstrong Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Seems very popular there... http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=402&fid=17&sty=2&act=1&mid=2114131470 Listed by many as Curle's best, or 2nd best signing. One comment: "Bialkowski for me. A great meadow lane goalkeeping legend in the making methinks..(Probably)"
Turkish Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 He always had the ability, just felt he lacked a bit of confidence and was maybe comfortable playing second fiddle to Davis and needed to play regularly.

Yep, ability was there for all to see, think he just got in a bit of a comfort zone and needed a kick up the arse. Although the Blackpool game maybe have been too hard of a kick.. egg Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I remember his debut for the ressies at staplewood, he looked like an excellent keeper. I'm pretty sure that with a decent run of games earlier in his Saints career he could have become our number one for years to come. I wouldn't be surprised to see him move onwards and upwords from notts county, he's way above that level imo.
doddisalegend Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Always thought he just needed games, playing the odd cup game was never going to be enough, KD was playing to well to get replaced the last few seasons.
sotonian Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 I always liked Bart, after the injury in that Newcastle cup game, he needed to be loaned out as part of his recovery, his lack of games showed in the Blackpool game, I think he can still be a top keeper

Saint_clark Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Shame he got that injury, he'd probably have been our number one ever since.

L1Minus10 Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Every time he got a run he did well. The scandal was when Whiskey George dropped him for the playoff semi-final after he'd been superb for about 10 games
Wade Garrett Posted 22 September, 2012 Share Posted 22 September, 2012 Every time he got a run he did well. The scandal was when Whiskey George dropped him for the playoff semi-final after he'd been superb for about 10 games I must have missed those 'runs' then. George had no choice in the Derby game, he didn't want to play. He had the ability, but his problem was between the ears. Nice to see him doing well now.
