Saint-Armstrong Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Something a bit lighter - and nice to hear... From WhitbySaint on 606... Due to where we live, we dont get to see the mights saints as often as we would like, but my six year old son was compensated for this yesterday when he received an hand written letter and signed items from the legend that is Rickie Lambert. Just thought i would mention this as this not only made his day but probably his year. Little things like that goes a long way as the thought of him just taking the time to read my sons letter and reply means a lot. Just something genuinely good to hear, and getting away from a lot of clap-trap on here atm. Rickie always seems a modest and great guy.
doddisalegend Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 I love Rickie Lambert ....really if I was a woman I'd have his babies. Not only is he a great footballer but he really seems to be a genuine nice guy who has worked really hard to get a shot at the big time.....is it to early for Rickie to be a saints legend?
Restark19 Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 is it to early for Rickie to be a saints legend? definitely on the way there, would like to see him finish his career at Saints, not for a few years though
Saint Fan CaM Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Great story...yep, see out his career at Saints and he'll be classed a legend I believe. His goals got us back up through the tables.
Mr Saints Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Best million quid this club has ever spent IMO.
Colinjb Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 As Adrian said, already a legend. Played a key role in 3 of the best years that any of us will ever know as Saints fans.
david in sweden Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Best million quid this club has ever spent IMO. .......and for a million at today's rates....." a real steal ".
Bucks Saint Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Great to hear this, not surprising, but still a very nice touch that continues to mark Rickie out as someone special
ottery st mary Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Rikeeeee 2 goals on Saturday in our 4-1 win....Top Man:)
Saint_lambden Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 I love Rickie Lambert ....really if I was a woman I'd have his babies. I think we all would.
davefizzy14 Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 Already a Legend for what he has done, nice touch from Rickie, my all time favourite Saint
Jonnyboy Posted 19 September, 2012 Posted 19 September, 2012 I love Rickie Lambert ....really if I was a woman I'd have his babies. Not only is he a great footballer but he really seems to be a genuine nice guy who has worked really hard to get a shot at the big time.....is it to early for Rickie to be a saints legend? Hmmm, I think Id rather stay a man, so if Rickie was a bird she could have my babies for sure.
Ohio Saint Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 He wouldn't have got into the banner at the top of the page if he wasn't a legend, would he?
Roger Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 Don't tell the9 about this. I'm sure he will find some fault with the letter.
Golden Balls Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 A Saints legend? I'd say yes. He'll be one of the players I talk to my children about. He's the 'Hero' figure that our club was missing for a while. Someone for the kids to look up to. Someone for kids down the park to scream "lambeeeert" every time they take a shot. Hope he finishes his career here.
tpbury Posted 20 September, 2012 Posted 20 September, 2012 Nice touch. For a big man, and he gets a lot of assists. ;-)
