So, four games in and no points but, look at it like this: we've just played a CL group stage; three of our opponents are CL quality and we simply cannot compete at that level. The fact that we put in good performances in two of those games is promising but ultimately these aren't the teams we are competing with. They are another level. Does anyone really think that we could compete with them?

 

Yes, the Wigan result and performance was disappointing but it's that kind of team that we are competing with and we're not gonna win 'em all.

 

Basically, any points picked up against top six opposition are a bonus. It's the other 13 teams that will decide our PL fate. I honestly think we can compete against most of them, so as has been said, our season really starts next week against Villa.

 

All we've got to do is finish 11th or better in a 14 team mini league.

Agree with this. It's difficult to be 4 games in with 0 points & bottom of the table but anyone who expected to be more than 3 points above where we are now is being over optimistic in my opinion. We dropped points against Wigan, that's about it for me. Draw a line, move on, Villa game is very important but we will tear them a new one. COYR's
