Saints Warrior Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Did I hear correct on MOTD. I am sure Hanson said `Saints have let in to many goals already, they need to pick up points and if they lose against Villa and Everton then its game over` ! I know Saints were fav to go down, and now 10/11 on, but lose 2 more and thats it is faily certain . Looking at the relagated 3rd teams before Saints would need at least 7-10 Wins and a load of draws....
Clapham Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 You'll never win anything with kids
Saints Warrior Posted 15 September, 2012 Author Posted 15 September, 2012 Saints could do it then, at 3000/1 for title I may put a few ££ on
Badger Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 He's a mate with the other c^nt who said "Ramirez will not sign for Southampton" . You know the bloke, the one who looks as if he's just fallen off the 'Sgt Pepper' front cover. Not sure where the other muppet is tonight though, probably on some outside broadcast on an all night vigil outside Anfield as BBC have not mentioned Hillsborough for at least forty minutes.
maxi_sopez Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 To be fair his analysis of our defending was spot on.
Turkish Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Yeah let's bury our heads in the sand. Hansen is a c^=* with an anti saints agenda etc.when will the mugs on here realise our defensive frailties and faliure to address I will cost us.
VectisSaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Better than Harry Bassett on Sky, basically said we did not have PL players and we are in big trouble. Seemed quite please about it as well. He really is an ignorant dinosaur, the sooner people like him and that other Arry **** disappear from football the better.
Badger Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Yeah let's bury our heads in the sand. Hansen is a c^=* with an anti saints agenda etc.when will the mugs on here realise our defensive frailties and faliure to address I will cost us. Hansen is a c^nt. But as you and Maxi say, his observations are justified on our defending.
DJ_TOAST Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I did think wtf when he said it's game over if we lose the next 2, bit ott.
The Majestic Channon Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Yeah let's bury our heads in the sand. Hansen is a c^=* with an anti saints agenda etc.when will the mugs on here realise our defensive frailties and faliure to address I will cost us. The point clearly being that the game can't be over after 4 games, the only person bringing up the anti saints ******** is you.
The Majestic Channon Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Agree our defence is s hite mind, and davis seems like a rabbit in headlights but not giving up yet, yoshida impressed me today, especially his distribution and there is another transfer window in jan.
Smirking_Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 The point clearly being that the game can't be over after 4 games, the only person bringing up the anti saints ******** is you. Not really, lets judge us compared to the other 19 teams ffs We consistantly cant defend, and consistantly struggle to keep the ball. Positives are that we can score and press well. Do I think we can stay up ? Yes of course, but we have to defend better than past 4 games
sandwichsaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Saw it on a stuttery stream and it didn't look great .... just seen it in glorious technicolor on MOD and it was chuffing awful. KD could have done better with 1, 2, 3 and 6. Looks like a complete rabbit-in-the-headlights. Never seen Gazza but he can't be worse can he?
Saintandy666 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Well, we are only 2 points from 17th so it's not undoable. But at the same time, 6 losses would be a lot, but I don't think it'll come to that. We have a tough start. Season starts next week.
beatlesaint Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I hope all those with rose coloured glasses regarding the left side of our defence noticed that bloody great square they drew that showed just how much space is available to any attacking player who so wishes to use it !! Its so big it must almost qualify as a prairie !!
colehillsaint Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I hope all those with rose coloured glasses regarding the left side of our defence noticed that bloody great square they drew that showed just how much space is available to any attacking player who so wishes to use it !! Its so big it must almost qualify as a prairie !! You've gone too far with prairie. Experts agree that you can afford a lawn but once into paddock terratory you are going to get punished.
alpine_saint Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 Better than Harry Bassett on Sky, basically said we did not have PL players and we are in big trouble. Seemed quite please about it as well. He really is an ignorant dinosaur, the sooner people like him and that other Arry **** disappear from football the better. But hes right though. Look through the squad list. We have f**k all PL expereince, just loads of theory on the players we have being good enough.
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 But hes right though. Look through the squad list. We have f**k all PL expereince, just loads of theory on the players we have being good enough. The same goes for the management.
stthrobber Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 Hansen is a miserable tosser, but he was a good defender in his day. However, I don't believe for one minute that the analysis is done by him, he's just told what to say by the editors I guess. Having said that, yes he's right, we've shipped too many goals already, but do I think it's curtains if we lose our next 2 games? No I don't. Apart from the Wigan game, we've had a very difficult re-introduction to Premier League life, but I think we are more than capable of competing. The danger is that like last season and the season before, where winning was a habit, losing can also be a habit as confidence drains from the team. If we don't get some sort of result in the next 2-3 games, then I would expect Nigel to go, but I hope not, he has been fantastic for Saints, but he wouldn't have done his CV any harm
Leicestersaint Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 We are not down yet but what a dreaful start - 14 goals let in and we lost to Wigan at home as well as the other lot.
Smirking_Saint Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 All this rose tinted glass stuff, it's quite simple, just take saints out the equation and think whether it's sensible to write a side off after 6 or 7 games. Ive seen enough football to know that's ridiculous. Some will think I've just said 'saints will stay up', but hopefully others will see what I mean. Same way it was daft to write off Reading last season. It's not about whether your statement turns out to be right or wrong, it's the fact that making such a statement after such a short period is ridiculous, whatever team and whether positive or negative. I have no problem him slagging off saints or not liking them if that's the case. I am not writing ourselves off, not at all, there is a lot of football left but you cant blame people for being worried. I know what you are saying but I bet before the season started you looked at 3 or 4 teams and said the may go down, or have been watching teams and have decided they look like relegation contenders. So some people have looked at us and decided we look like fodder. Perhaps when you climb down off that horse of yours you will be able to look at our woeful defending and understand why more and more of us are getting worried. Of course it can change but Im going to want to see improvements sooner rather than later
WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 If we lose the next 2 it won't be certainly over but a very long climb back and not looking good. However, 2 defeats will probably unfortunately be the end of NA if he is given that long as a defeat to Villa could be the end with him not even reaching the Everton game!?(hope not)
Deano6 Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I'll stick my neck out and agree with the Thunderbird. I think if we lose the next 2 we won't come back from that.
St Chalet Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 Looking through the tables for last few years, 36 points normally guarantees safety and 40 being most needed. The fixture list has been cruel, but maybe the kick up the arse we needed. 102 points to play for.
Dalek2003 Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 It was very predictable that we wopuld lose to Arse, Manure and Citeh. The Wigan game really was the test and we failed. Lose our next two and we should sound the alarm, don lifejackets and man the lifeboats. Doesn't give me any pleasure, but 'i told you so'.
GAS Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 Hansen is a c^nt. But as you and Maxi say, his observations are justified on our defending. To be fair though, I could have analysed that defensive performance. Didn't take a rocket scientist. But it was a true analysis.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 All this rose tinted glass stuff, it's quite simple, just take saints out the equation and think whether it's sensible to write a side off after 6 or 7 games. Well one day your doom and gloom will be right..law of averages and all that. We will turn it round.
Bad Wolf Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I don't think that's actually what he said, was it? Didn't he say if we don't improve soon it's all over. Don't remember him saying anything about the next game...But I was only half watching it.
kpturner Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I don't think that's actually what he said, was it? Didn't he say if we don't improve soon it's all over. Don't remember him saying anything about the next game...But I was only half watching it. ".....lose the next two and it's all over....". Or something very similar. Like him or not, his analysis was spot on.
Raging Bull Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 But hes right though. Look through the squad list. We have f**k all PL expereince, just loads of theory on the players we have being good enough. I don't like agreeing with you...
Raging Bull Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 We're 4 games in and the pretty little triangles we play have more points than us!
Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 September, 2012 Posted 16 September, 2012 I think the biggest problem we face now is raising the morale in the squad. They've been used to winning games - lots of games - and now they probably feel like they're nowhere near good enough for any Prem team. There's only one thing we can do to assist and that's make a lot of noise at SMS come Saturday. I do hope there will be no barracking of players or booing - they need the utmost support now more than ever.
adrian lord Posted 17 September, 2012 Posted 17 September, 2012 If we lose the next 2 it's is likely game over for Adkins, if not quite Saints. We would be well adrift with a shocking GD though.
John B Posted 17 September, 2012 Posted 17 September, 2012 Teams get written off that easily each year. We have been ourselves, Wigan are every year. It's always very simple in the pundits eyes. Plus they need to make big statements. Not saying we'll stay up, just that there will be time to do so of we're good enough. Same way there was under redknapp. Awful start, but that couldnt be blamed in the end because we got within touching distance of safety then blew it several times. If saints go down, it'll be because of the next 34 games, not be past 4. Anyway, there's two ways to look at it, the awful results or the points from safety. I'm sure it'll be very tight down there by Christmas as it always is. By march people will be enjoying the old school relegation fight again. We will go down because collectively the Management and Team will not be good enough Whether that happens only time will tell but not sure myself three teams apart from Reading who will be worse than us.
SaintRichmond Posted 17 September, 2012 Posted 17 September, 2012 Agree our defence is s hite mind, and davis seems like a rabbit in headlights but not giving up yet, yoshida impressed me today, especially his distribution and there is another transfer window in jan. You're right And, come January, when we are rooted at the foot of the table.... LOADS of Quality Players will be lining up to join us won't they ??? Our "Get who we need" transfer window has GONE Defensive targets + GK were either not addressed, or not gone for The BLAME lies squarely with the Management, and I don't mean Hale & Pace

Probably round Claims 4 U getting his compo sorted, together with the other 2.5 million scousers who were at the game.
