dubai_phil Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Yeah that was Fox's fault as well Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
max_saints Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 okay seriously I really hope no one is going to defend kelvin after this
Lighthouse Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Not a good day for Clyne really. Was swiping at shaddows for that one.
Aura Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 okay seriously I really hope no one is going to defend kelvin after this not just KD the whole defense is complete rubbish bar Yoshida have to see how he goes first.
Crab Lungs Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Horrific. We've been making Gervinho and Ramsey look awesome. Lolz.
BotleySaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Well, we did try to sign another left back so we can assume Fox isn't up to the standard?
trousers Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Looking on the bright side....we're lulling Aston Villa into a false sense of security big time...
SNSUN Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Ok, I'm in. Our defence is shocking. Even Clyne who's had a few good games looks poor today. Yoshida does look OK, but it'll take more than just him. Still, Arsenal are quality, and judging by the Norwich/West Ham game earlier, we'll have our chances to pick up some points.
S-Clarke Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Not a good day for Clyne really. Was swiping at shaddows for that one. He's had a bit of a bad one. Bright sparks for me - Yoshida, looks assured. Ramirez, looks too good for us. Other than that, players like Morgan and WP have dropped well below the levels they've set this season.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 This reminds me of many of our previous visits to Highbury... Never a happy hunting ground for us...
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good.
mulletsaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Yeah that was Fox's fault as well Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2 Sure Guly didn't have something to do with it?
Thedelldays Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good. why are you so worried about what other people are thinking..?
Shanghai Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 The number 1 thing that annoys me about watching these games is that whilst the premier league is mean't to be the best in the world the commentators are not. They have no professional integrity as they are normally just name who talk about football and normally the Top 4 teams at that. Stop sucking off famous players, read up on the lower placed teams, understand the progression each team has made and know the players strengths and weaknesses. Why do you think Gary Neville is a surprise as a pundit !!! its cos you are all crap and he puts effort into his craft unlike you numpties. Rant over. Couldn't agree more. Living in China I get the benefit of Chinese commentary so can get the sycophantic ****s out of my ears.
BotleySaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I guess we just aren't as smart and well informed as you? I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good.
trousers Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Walcott coming on. The words 'salt', "wound' and 'rub' spring to mind...
Stepgar Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 The commentator just said "just as Southamtpton were looking the better side".....shame. I actually think there has been a conspiracy against Saints. I have never known any team to have such a bad start in terms of opening fixtures.
sfc1976 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 So frustrating. We look great sometimes and pass it really well. But whenever a team run at us they look like scoring.
mulletsaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 This reminds me of many of our previous visits to Highbury... Never a happy hunting ground for us... Yup, how long til Giroud comes on. Seem to remember both Bergkamp and Henry scoring after a drought against us.
hypochondriac Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 At least we have done better this half. Shame about the terrible first half though.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 walcott one side OX the other would have been nice
Lighthouse Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good. A) What makes you think that? B) Opposition will get worse, Clyne will get better with experience and Yoshi looks decent so far. C) What makes you think that?
S-Clarke Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 So frustrating. We look great sometimes and pass it really well. But whenever a team run at us they look like scoring. Down the left, usually. Can't see that changing through any sort of coaching, unfortunately, as it's just a limitation in Fox's game at this level. I reckon it's going to be a case of score more than you in this 1st half of the season!
ooh it's a corner Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good. a) Because I thought we would lose to Man Utd, City and Arsenal, with more than 2 goals difference in each game. We've done better than that. b) Because the introduction of two new defenders in a back five will always take more than 4 games (1 in the cb's case) to gel c) I'm not
BotleySaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 If we can get another goal we can lower the goal difference. That might be a big thing later this season.. come on Saints!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I guess we just aren't as smart and well informed as you? It must be that, but people really do make out they're well informed. Guess I should just not take any notice as they blatantly aren't.
RobM Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good. A - 'Suddenly' implies you had no idea what you were talking about in the first place and don't understand how to properly judge a performance. B - That's what new teams with good players, coaching and managers do. That's what we have done consistently over the last few years. C - Nobody is surprised, but that doesn't mean his quality shouldn't be mentioned. D - Your posts make you look a bit of an idiot.
S-Clarke Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 what is with the amount of space we're giving players on the flanks? seriously? wake the **** up.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Get a grip people Man City Wigan ( ill let you moan about that one) Man utd Arsenal Please !!! I was thinking 1 point at best
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 A) What makes you think that? B) Opposition will get worse, Clyne will get better with experience and Yoshi looks decent so far. C) What makes you think that? For A and C, have you read the last couple of pages? B, I disagree, confidence will wane after a poor start.
ericofarabia Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 LOL at Dave Merrington .... if we lose this one ...... 10 mins left 5-1 down .... no if's about it Dave FFS!!
RobM Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 For A and C, have you read the last couple of pages? B, I disagree, confidence will wane after a poor start. What has reading the last few pages got to do with anything, when you could watch the game (live or online for free) and make your own mind up, based on what you see?
BotleySaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 It must be that, but people really do make out they're well informed. Guess I should just not take any notice as they blatantly aren't. I think we are just trying to make ourselves feel better by justifying the situation, share the suffering! Half way between that justification and the most extreme negative views, lies the truth!
Webby Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Get a grip people Man City Wigan ( ill let you moan about that one) Man utd Arsenal Please !!! I was thinking 1 point at best Me too. Wigan result the only one I can moan about really. It's just that they've all come at once. If they'd been spread across the season then it wouldn't look so bad.
mulletsaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 It must be that, but people really do make out they're well informed. Guess I should just not take any notice as they blatantly aren't. Much like you mate I'd imagine. Very few well informed on here just many with differing opinions.
rshephard3 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 LOL at Dave Merrington .... if we lose this one ...... 10 mins left 5-1 down .... no if's about it Dave FFS!! Ha, get a grip Dave. I'm already thinking about the 6 pointer which will be drawing to a close in a week!
sammysaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Fox and Fonte are awful again. Only positive is gaston looks decent, lets move on to the next, we have played 3 teams who will finish at worse 5th, any team below 8th can be won at home, and needs to be.
Micky Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 This reminds me of many of our previous visits to Highbury... Never a happy hunting ground for us... Errr pedant alert pending, but we ain't at bloody Highbury....!!!!
Black Sea Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Does anyone else think that Oxo isn't really trying today? Agent Oxo, go on my son.
Ohio Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 A - 'Suddenly' implies you had no idea what you were talking about in the first place and don't understand how to properly judge a performance. Aura Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Does anyone else think that Oxo isn't really trying today? Agent Oxo, go on my son. Playing against a witches hat in Fox.
BotleySaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Another classic Dave-ism ... "What a shame we didn't hold onto Walcott and Chamberlain ! " Yes dave.. What a shame when we were in league one ..
Seaford Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Fox and Fonte are awful again. Only positive is gaston looks decent, lets move on to the next, we have played 3 teams who will finish at worse 5th, any team below 8th can be won at home, and needs to be. Good post, steady now.
Genk Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 We were always going to get a few hidings this season. Depressing I know but keep the faith.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Errr pedant alert pending, but we ain't at bloody Highbury....!!!! Pedant...
