alpine_saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 So you are predicting we will be relegated by January? Could you confirm this view? Not playing today. Not getting into any arguments just to provide pain relief to happy clappies. Today is all about coming to terms with the fact we cannot compete in the PL and probable relegation.
Thedelldays Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 yay..........another assist for punch
Frank's cousin Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Fox in the Box... well I never... 4-5 anyone?
Ohio Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 There goes there record!!!! I'm a bit happier now!
Dark Munster Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Its pathetic that we spent 15 million on Ramirez but failed to strengthen properly at the back. That will be our problem this year a blind man could have seen it in January. This. Michu for £5 million, plus a decent goalkeeper, a couple of CBs, and a LB. Not rocket science.
kermit Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Umm it is televised because its on my tele atm . Fox sports televises most of the games . Ive seen every game this year . We look poor and its soo easy to see our weaknesses that other teams can exploit . 4-1 now and only going to get worse Kermit But is that really a suprise? Arsenal are at a different level to us. We can't compete with them. And it's not televised, it's just 1 of every PL game which is streamed as part of the International feed, which is picked up and edited for organizations around the world. We just need to make sure we do the business in the games we can win. Although, after the last 3 years, seeing us being torn apart like this is painful.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 What were people saying about the defence being ok?
speed demon Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Not over reacting or anything like that but if we don't sort this out in our next 6 - 8 games, I really do think Cortese will pull the trigger. Shame because it puts Adkins under pressure that he could do without but I can't see us spending like we did and NC watching us languishing at the bottom.
Dr Who? Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 That is the first goal Arsenal have conceded this season!
badgerx16 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Devil's Advocate question :- If the squad is as poor as some of you are making out, what difference would changing the manager make ? ( And again as I am typing there is a goal - Danny Fox being far more effective in attack then he ever is in defence ).
Webby Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 First goal conceded by Gunners this season.
Dr Who? Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 What were people saying about the defence being ok? Have people really said this? I find that hard to believe!

S-Clarke Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 First goal conceded by Gunners this season. The first game Shezney has played? End of debate.
Smirking_Saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Not playing today. Not getting into any arguments just to provide pain relief to happy clappies. Today is all about coming to terms with the fact we cannot compete in the PL and probable relegation. 4-1 down at Half time ? I bet your covered in the white stuff right now
Lighthouse Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Lets just calm down for a minute. We didn't get spanked by MC or MU and the goals we let in against Wigan were as much individual errors as anything. The teams needs to get used to each other and dare I say it 'gel'. We're having a real baptism of fire with the fixture list if we only get one spanking in this lot it wont be so bad. Give it time. Let's put today down as an utterly abysmal day at the office and judge Saints against teams like Villa and stoke before we write ourselves off as relegation certainties.
alpine_saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 That is the first goal Arsenal have conceded this season! Only because they are either asleep or punch drunk at being 4 up in the first half.
Saint_clark Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Well, Newcastle have done it V Arsenal, no reason why we can't. I'd take Steven Davis off for Ramirez and put Lallana in the middle. As much as I hate to say it, I think we have to drop Kelvin and give Gazzaniga a chance.
Dr Who? Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 4-1 down at Half time ? I bet your covered in the white stuff right now Ha ha ha
CanadaSaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Our midfield has played (or been forced to play?) so deep that we've just invited Arse to keep coming at us. They've poured forwards in numbers because they had nothing to worry about defensively. And don't even get me started on Kelvin.
Stepgar Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 100% KD should have had the free kick. No doubt on that. If its in the corner fair enough, but that was not that far from central.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Not playing today. Not getting into any arguments just to provide pain relief to happy clappies. Today is all about coming to terms with the fact we cannot compete in the PL and probable relegation. Instead to bolster your love of a moan...and no doubt you will make the most of the opportunity to post it over and over.......
Crab Lungs Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 TBF, we've just played 3 of the top 4 and they've had a field day... it won't always be like this. I think it's more the fact that we had a good three months to strengthen at the back and haven't really done so.
JackFrost Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Plenty of hens coming home to roost about our laughable transfer activity focus over the summer. Oh, well, down with the PPs and try to come back up again, I suppose. Get in. This means we're guaranteed to stay up.
alpine_saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 BBC having is "update Saints scores" problem again...
Thedelldays Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 TBF, we've just played 3 of the top 4 and they've had a field day... it won't always be like this. I think it's more the fact that we had a good three months to strengthen at the back and haven't really done so. villa game is huge now...HUUUUUUGE
jonesyboyo Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 So then. When are we getting a new keeper?
Dr Who? Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Only because they are either asleep or punch drunk at being 4 up in the first half. This is true, and you will find a lot of thrashings have a 1 for the other team.
alpine_saint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 TBF, we've just played 3 of the top 4 and they've had a field day... it won't always be like this. And were utterly w*nk against Wigan I think it's more the fact that we had a good three months to strengthen at the back and haven't really done so. Spot on.
Crab Lungs Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 BBC having is "update Saints scores" problem again... Yup, noticed that too...
badgerx16 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 .....we have to drop Kelvin and give Gazzaniga a chance. This. Worst case scenario is that we start planning for next season as we are already down according to some.
sfc1976 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Surely every manager in the league will just say 'attack down their left hand side and you'll score'. Truly awful. Just cant see how we'll stay up in our current state.
Thedelldays Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 18 shots 76% possession for arsenal...no where near good enough
beatlesaint Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Well, Newcastle have done it V Arsenal, no reason why we can't. I'd take Steven Davis off for Ramirez and put Lallana in the middle. As much as I hate to say it, I think we have to drop Kelvin and give Gazzaniga a chance. I can give you about 25 reasons why we cant if you like
Convict Colony Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 Glad Fox is on the pitch! hahaha i was just chuckling at your previous posts which you were right about at the time.
Saintandy666 Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I always said that the season starts next week when the new signings have set in and so on. That will be the teller of things to come.
hypochondriac Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 And to think people went on and on and on about posters being negative for worrying about the defence. Its a clear error that we ignored it.
lordswoodsaints Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 The sad thing is we have scored more goals than arsenal in this game and we are losing 4-1
TheCholulaKid Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 lets just hope the bedwetters stay a bit calm No chance. ****ing drama queens the lot them.
Saint_clark Posted 15 September, 2012 Posted 15 September, 2012 I can give you about 25 reasons why we cant if you like Erm...? Go on then.
