sotonjoe Posted 13 September, 2012 Share Posted 13 September, 2012 You what? I think somebody might think you're a good judge of whether a pub is a goer or not. Personally, I think that's ****ing dangerous. Either way, see you Saturday.
oldsarum Posted 13 September, 2012 Share Posted 13 September, 2012 So they're running the risk of the streaming police eh? You sure about that? If so, might pop down. they have been advertising it in the pub since the Wigan game

JackanorySFC Posted 14 September, 2012 Share Posted 14 September, 2012 I've got to meet a mate in Angel anyway. I've heard there are some very decent bars there though might have a look. Is it walkable from their to Emirates Jackanory ? Quite a walk from Angel tbh. Upper St is about a mile long and leads from Angel in the south to Highbury & Islington at the north. Loads of quality independent pubs/ bars there so if you are meeting someone in Angel you could do a lot worse than walk up Upper St stopping here and there until you reach the top which is a 10/15 walk to the ground. Personally I'll probably be in the Hope & Anchor, bit of a dive, decent juke box and off the beaten track so easy enough to get a pint.

Saint Garrett Posted 17 September, 2012 Author Share Posted 17 September, 2012 Went on a bit of a pub crawl in the end. Went to The Salisbury to start with, thought it was very nice little pub but only stopped for one and was only a few people in there. Then went to the Porterhouse in Covent Garden as I told my dad it is amazing - plus it meant could watch a bit of the cricket as well. Then went to Angel and went to the Nags Head, and then walked up upper street to the Hope and Anchor, Afterwards went to a pub by Highbury station, was a good day out int he sun, just a shame we didnt get the result! (or the performance !)
