how on earth are pompey the 20th most offensive club? they should be much higher! Apart from that Looks about right, but some very odd ones there. for example QPRs 3rd rivals are Cardiff city/Stoke fc? I would of thought Arsenal or another big london team would be the 3rd choice.

There was an incident at a hotel involving a fire alarm being set off and waking players prior to a QPR v Cardiff playoff final which might explain that one.

Quite annoying that Bompey have sneaked in as our third rivals. Would have been great if there was no acknowledgement of them at all.

To be fair the more people that use that fuc.king ridiculous "Bompey" term the more people will think it is. They're Bournemouth or the Cherries, and have been as long as i can remember.

Or more likely the history of trouble between the two sets of fans i'd guess.

Quite annoying that some people correctly deny the rivalry yet insist on referring to them as "Bompey"

I quite like Bournemouth, always nice to see them doing well. Plus it has always been somewhere where we can send our youngsters. (McGoldrick, Surman, Lallana, Barnard) and I'm sure there has been plenty more!

I get why Bompey dislike Saints, we're the overshadowing local neighbours, but what have Brighton done to them to be second biggest rivals?

It's not a huge survey (1,200 fans?), expect it'll be based largely on the past couple of years in Championship/League one, when Poyet decided to mouth off about us almost every week.

But why are Crawley rated as 14th most offensive? presumably the cash rich sugar daddy - or have I missed something?

Their old manager probably helped... he was pretty offensive.

Watford's biggest rival is Leeds? Yeah right.

Non-League clubs are not included in the survey (says at the top) so there's one or two odd ones like that with Luton stuck in the conference till they sort it out....

Glad MK Dons are still considered one of the most offensive clubs in the country, really not a fan of them kicking about my home town.

I don't care about Brighton either tbh

Set off by Sam Hammans bodyguard as well. Also we were competing for years in L1 and then the NPC for promotion so every game was a 6 pointer.

Theres quite a bit of trouble between Stoke and QPR including one of their fans getting onto the pitch and attacking our goalie but then the FA charged QPR because one of our players hit him. A few incidents like that and the rivalry heats up.

We used to refer to them as Boscombe

Maidenhead United hate Slough Town - or at least did in my yoof when Nick Hornby was going to Magpies games..

So many reasons:

1. The Majeed brothers

2. Steve Evans

3. Lack of transparency about where the money has come from

These are the main three - people have long memories seemingly

More Hereford now.. anyway the point is the article is wrong

I lived in Cheltenham for eight years and it was Gloucester, even when the Robins were well established in the league. And then Swindon which is top of the rankings on this survey and sounds about right. Hereford? Never known anyone in Cheltenham that would class HUFC as their main rival. So this Hereford thing must have happened quite recently if true.

You sure you live in Cheltenham, Dune? You never used to. Is it part of the new persona?

I quite often go to matches and I'd say Hereford and Bristol Rovers are about even... there's even a song about how they hate hereford

When I was a nipper I would go to watch the Rebels if not watching Saints and Wycombe were always rivals - hardly ever played Maidenhead. Windsor in cup games was always fun.

1200 fans divided by approx 80 clubs over 4 divisions = +15 fans per club. There is no statistical validity to the survey whatsoever
