For anyone that's in the home end, celebrate if we score. They're a noddy club and they will do absolutely nothing about you celebrating in their end.

You're so naughty

I'm hoping Chaplow will be on the bench. His confrontational belligerence could be what is needed to break up their attacks when we tire towards the end and Arse's forwards crowd our defence, just as happened against Manure.. No-one else we have does this as effectively (when Chaps is at his best).

He'll get sent off after his first tackle, most the Arsenal players are better actors than Keanu Reeves and will be rolling on the floor the moment Chappers comes near him with the glair of the sun radiating off his head....

Why? He's not done anything terrible, been nice about us and hasn't turned out rubbish (already better than Theo). His dad deserves some abuse but that's different.

What about that interview he gave before he left? Basically saying he wanted to leave, he was now too good for us. That is unforgivable IMO. If you want to go fair enough, few could blame him, but to engineer your move via the media is disgraceful.

Bit like our gaston

Yep, if he ever goes back to Bologna as a visiting player Id expect him to get some abuse too.

Fair point

I expect oxo to get a mixed reaction really... With theo getting a generally great reception

He gave it his all till he left, he followed the right protocol by signing professionally with us and ensured we got a record transfer sale out of him.

Yeah he wasn't best when pushed on the move and took the silly advice of his dad but realistically it went the right way and didn't end up like Chelsea over Kakuta (who know rots in the reserves team). Plenty of players out there who properly deserve a booing and Chamberlain isn't really one of them

That's your view and your entitled to it. However Some of us don't particularly like our own players coming out in the national press and saying they are too good for us and want to leave, we dont consider that to be respectful and if truth be told, he mugged us off by doing that. If you're happy for them to do that and think that is going about things the right way then it's a rather distorted view. IMO of course.

I love the way everyone wants to blame his dad. He only advised on the matter. Final decision was to down to the player. He very arrogantly dismissed our club when he left thinking he was better than us. BTW are you sure he is already better than Walcott? Hasn't been very impressive when I have watched him.

Am Buzzing for this tbh as I've only been outside the Emirates and not inside so will be Nice to see what it's like and to tick it off the list as well!!!

For those planning to use the Tube tomorrow I see that their is Tube Works on the Northern line from Charing Cross to

Camden Town so I guess use the Bakerloo line or the Jubilee line to the Piccadilly line and on to the Emirates But it depends on

what You are doing...!!!

Where are people heading for drinks before/after as I'm thinking of having one before and maybe after But am not sure on where to go!?!

As much as I'd like Saints to Win I can see it being 3-1 Arsenal with Lambert or Ramirez for Saints and I'm going to give

Oxo-Chamberlain a Cheer as well as Walcott for what they did at Saints as well as I like them both But We'l See!!!

Also will We be in White or Yellow tomorrow as well!?!

Thanks!

COYR!!! :D

Definately not better than Walcott .......................

Is the boy Ramirez likely to be in the squad do we know? With the international break he can hardly have trained with the team so game changing moments from the bench maybe?

Bench probably. He'll be a really positive option to bring on, so I'm excited.

I really think it was his dad more than him though. To top it off after the transfer his dad, (or at least someone connected to the lad,) was on the messageboard making an ass of himself. Leave if you must but I really don't need your propoganda team on my case thanks.

Don't look at everything through saints tinted specs. Of course players of Ox's ability will want to play at the highest level and telling others that doesnt really mean much.

I think you're being a little too sensitive and biased

Turkish can be accused of a lot of things, but not looking at things through saints tinted specs! If anything he seems to have accidentally glued pompey specs to his face.

Just a touch of irony that's all.

I'm sure all the scary booing will teach OX a right lesson today anyway.

In other news, I predict a narrow 2-1 defeat but with another good display to keep confidence high

line up in the telegraph today...

Davis

Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox

Schneiderlein Ramirez

Puncheon Mayuka Lallana

Lambert

would love to see this team start :-)

Arsenal team: Szcesny; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Arteta, Coquelin, Cazorla; Chamberlain, Podolski, Gervinho.

As predicted no Diaby then, no Giroud either but he was only about 40% for France during the week.See Arsene has finally caught on about Ramsey then.

Ramirez won't play that deep and that team is way too attacking IMO.

Plus I'd have Hooiveld over Fonte, though I doubt Yoshida will start.

with that team I think I'll see if I can get some odds on Morgan running over 13 miles. Too gung-ho, NC must have picked it.

We really would get slaughtered if we did that, far too gung-ho.

As far as i know its the same lineup as the Utd game the new boys only trained with squad on friday.

Good. Adz looked much more at home and more comfortable on the left, linking with Foxy and cutting in. Very confident with CM 3 of MS, SD & JWP. Give it a couple of games and I think Adz will be back there and Ramirez one wing and Puncheon on the other.

Very happy Puncheon is still in. Very impressive v United. Hopefully give Gibbs / Santos a good test aswell. Very confident we'll score today but still uncertain re: defence with Fonte and Jos there.

2-2.

Well what great timing....

SimonPeach: Adam Lallana is having one hell of a week. England call-up, #SaintsFC at #AFC & just found his missus is about to drop their first #PAsoccer

About to drop? As in, imminently? In which event he could potentially miss the game? Or have they just found out she's pregnant?

she's due any day apparently

If she can't wait til after the game, that's a poor show. This is football we're talking about.

Would get absolutely rinsed playing that

Saints team vs Arsenal: K. Davis, Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox, Ward-Prowse, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Puncheon, Lambert, Lallana ©

Saints substitutes vs Arsenal: Gazzaniga (GK), Yoshida, Rodriguez, Ramírez, Richardson, Mayuka, Chaplow

Unchanged team, eh? Hope you know what you're doing, Nige!

Couldn't really go anywhere else. The team that started against Man U was 2-1 up before it got reshuffled. Yoshida and Ramirez will only have trained yesterday, which is normally a finalising session working on specific positioning tactics and such like, so no real chance to integrate into the squad. I'd expect to see Ramirez for Puncheon at some point, and having Chaplow is a decent option if we're looking to shore things up and need a bit of energy in the midfield. Decent selection IMO, but would expect Ramirez and Yoshida in for the Villa game. I'm still not quite sure what Mayuka "does" yet, or where he fits in.

Posted
I'm sure it might, but I guarantee if the opposition went with a stupidly attacking line-up people on here would say they're going to rinse us.

that is because many team that would play that against us will probably have top international defenders...
