colehillsaint Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 It is a bit unfair to compare Matt and NC's positions isn't it? NC runs the club so a campaign of attrition behind a curtain of dignified silence is a simple tactic really is it not? Meanwhile Matt has very limited options to express his frustration or enmity. He should still try and keep his own council if he can though.
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 No, I don't. But that wasn't the statement you responded with ''You don't know that' to. And i've only just caught up with the latest ''development's.. Christ on a bike, MLT you are starting to look like an idiot here. A petty, bitter, idiot with an agenda. Along with the rest of the ''old guys'' guys gang, in Benali, Lawrie etc. I'm all for respecting what they did for us, they are legends and always will be. But why is he acting like this? He's trying to rock the boat, for reasons that are beyond me. That's the last thing we need this year. He should just STFU. Simple as that. If he wants to air his views, then officially contact the club. Putting out in the open isn't going to help anyone. So he's just made the entire thing worse, and is possibly proving NC right in some ways. From what I've heard Cortese has had it in for Le Tiss from day one so Le God can say whatever he wants IMO.
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 From what I've heard Cortese has had it in for Le Tiss from day one so Le God can say whatever he wants IMO. And NC can do what ever he wants It seems
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 And NC can do what ever he wants It seems Obviously. Unless he p!sses his employers off.
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Obviously. Unless he p!sses his employers off. Well. I can't see that happening. I bet they don't even bother with the club anymore. The way I see it and understanding its pretty much NCs toy now Who the fuk knows the arrangements of the estate that own club.
S-Clarke Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 From what I've heard Cortese has had it in for Le Tiss from day one so Le God can say whatever he wants IMO. Who knows really? I think both are at fault, both need to knocks their heads together. But the likes of Benali and MLT are look like the bitter idiots coming out like they are. MLT on twitter ranting, getting Jeff Stelling to rant about NC. Beanli having a rant on Soccer AM. Just leave it, try and discuss it with the club officially because putting it out the open like this has killed any chance they ever had of killing this disagreement. I think the whole Puncheon saga shows that when it looks like all is lost, and there's no way back, a little behind the scenes work can put a hell of alot right again.
Avenue Saint Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 From what I've heard Cortese has had it in for Le Tiss from day one so Le God can say whatever he wants IMO. From what you've heard, doesn't really cut it on here though does it? it's no more telling than what tom, **** or Harry have 'heard' be it about 'destabilising forces' attacking the club or the overpowering Cortese... What we can be certain of is Le Tissier's actions tonight.

I don't know how you know Le Tiss got Stelling to do the rant. If you are just going to make stuff up why bother posting?
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 I don't know how you know Le Tiss got Stelling to do the rant. If you are just going to make stuff up why bother posting? The same could be leveled at you "from what I have heard" That means jack shyt on the internet
Avenue Saint Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 I don't know how you know Le Tiss got Stelling to do the rant. If you are just going to make stuff up why bother posting? If you cant handle conversation, why don't you stop posting?
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 The same could be leveled at you "from what I have heard" That means jack shyt on the internet It's from a friend who works at the club, quite high up. I have no reason to doubt what he says.
manji Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 I don't know how you know Le Tiss got Stelling to do the rant. If you are just going to make stuff up why bother posting? Clearly MLT primed botox face Stelling didnt you see it ? Stelling ranting away like a drunk in the precinct and occasionally Sky would cut away to show Mattys smug face.
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 It's from a friend who works at the club, quite high up. Haha yeah Why don't you just tell us all so we can meet our own minds up All this nugde nudge, wink wink "what I have heard from a friend" crap is hilarious
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Clearly MLT primed botox face Stelling didnt you see it ? Stelling ranting away like a drunk in the precinct and occasionally Sky would cut away to show Mattys smug face. I'm pretty sure Stelling says what he wants. he looked genuine to me. If anything I thought Matt looked embarrassed.
manji Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 It's from a friend who works at the club, quite high up. Whos probably had a bollocking from Cortese and is trying to get revenge by stirring the schitt. Happens in the workplace all the time.
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 I'm pretty sure Stelling says what he wants. he looked genuine to me. If anything I thought Matt looked embarrassed. God on.... Tell us "what you HVe heard" Don't worry about spilling the beans MLT clearly does not care too much
manji Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 I look forward to hearing the full story of Benalis traumatic "someones spilt wine on my carpet" incident. That could rock the football world.
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Haha yeah Why don't you just tell us all so we can meet our own minds up All this nugde nudge, wink wink "what I have heard from a friend" crap is hilarious I don't want to say. I'm not going to get a mate in trouble to satisfy a few people on here. Anyway, you are giving Le Tiss a grilling for posting stuff on the internet, now you want me to exactly the same?
Raging Bull Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 i don't want to say. I'm not going to get a mate in trouble to satisfy a few people on here. Anyway, you are giving le tiss a grilling for posting stuff on the internet, now you want me to exactly the same? full.......of...........sh!t
CB Fry Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Of course a public figure shouldnt be immune to a few barbs even if they are incredibly childish. But why should these bitter barb throwers expect special treatment ? What "special treatment" is MLT "expecting" then?
aintforever Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Don't want to say. LMFAO Blimey you're easily amused! like i said, Cortese is doing a fantastic job, I can't see the point in posting pathetic stories on here. I don't blame Le Tiss for tweeting though.
Wade Garrett Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Please tell me you're joking? Le Tiss obviously cares massively about the club still and you can tell how gutted he is to be ostracised by the club, can anyone blame him for feeling p****d off? A lot of Saints fans didn't deserve a player of his class at our club, calling him a 'c**t' is disgusting. Bit precious aren't you. I call people c*nts all the time. He's acting like my daughter on her Blackberry, he needs to grow up. Don't see why I can't say how he's coming across. He was probably the best player we've ever had, and I'll always be grateful for that. I'm not sure what his argument with NC is about, I don't know who's in the wrong. To be honest, I don't care. But fact is, Matt is making an arse of himself at the moment.
Avenue Saint Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 It's from a friend who works at the club, quite high up. I have no reason to doubt what he says. Lol...
CB Fry Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 See, that's where you get it wrong. He's not just any old CEO he's MY Club's CEO. For what Matty has done for this club, he is family! All my life I wanted some guy to come in and give Saints a shot at the big time. Cortese made this happen and not only that but he is obviously passionate about the club! Why then would I hold back my appreciation for this bloke? In your book, just being the 'CEO' means, who gives a sh't... In my book, like Matty, he deserves respect, HE'S FAMILY. Okay, so to you he's family. Fine. But then this: Add to this, some don't understand the importance of Cortese to this Club. He is the only link for us to the family and its money. If he was for any reason to sling his hook, what good is having the best manager, without having the money to have the best players... Obvious answer is, without money, you're not going to have the best facilities, expansion, plans for Europe, nothing. Heck you might even end up with some chances trying to leech of us. We've been around a long time and in that time no billionaire came in for us, thankfully Cortese got involved and hooked us up. So without him and the honeypot, the tv money will only do for us what clubs like wigan and Norwich have limited aspirations for! 'Who cares about Cortese'? Naive... So Cortese if he gets upset will leave us and take the money with him. On the back of a bit of needle on twitter. So this "family" thing reads more like the pleadings of a victim of domestic abuse...I luv him I luv him and he luvs me...but don't upset him or he'll break my cheekbone again.... He's a public figure and he's going to get stick. I think he's man enough to take it. I think it's you lot that need to man up and stop squinnying about people defiling your hero.

Dig Dig Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Take away someone's free booze and food and this is what happens.
CB Fry Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Lmfao! How old are you? Serious question!! Never you mind. But I'm not on here calling a football chief executive my "family". Lame as fu ck.
Appy Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Matt Le Tissier @mattletiss7 Ive now finished my ranting and promise not to say anything derogatory about our chairman on here again #truceinplace #coyr #stayingup :-)
Avenue Saint Posted 7 September, 2012 Posted 7 September, 2012 Never you mind. But I'm not on here calling a football chief executive my "family". Lame as fu ck. I understand why people rip the ****** out of you now. Anyway, i understand you are a bit slow like, so just for your benefit, when I say 'family' I don't mean brother, father, grandfather... No I don't my thick sh't friend, it's to imply a comparable level of of respect. Now pick your dummy back up, wipe it down, and go suck it!
Monk Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I find it such a shame that these two dont get on.
Avenue Saint Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I find it such a shame that these two dont get on. I think that is the majority feeling. Matty's tweets today were not good at all and it's not as though he didn't know what he was doing either. Disappointing.

You seem to be labouring under the assumption I didn't understand your "he's family" line. Bless you for that. Thanks for the contextual analysis. I got it. It's fu cking lame mate. And you call me thick. Our chairman can take a little bit of stick on twitter. Shame the bellends on here can't. The response on here is freaking hilarious and you are leading the charge.
Roger Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 From what I've heard Cortese has had it in for Le Tiss from day one so Le God can say whatever he wants IMO. S-Clarke I've just lost a lot of respect for you. I think you're being very harsh on Matt and you're wording is very extreme. Short memory from some people. I think sometimes you stick up for cortese far too much. I feel he's done a good job but doesn't help himself at all sometimes.

Also the situation with Benali and his house caused a lot of this. I don't think cortese covered himself in glory there. If you were let down badly by someone would you not want ur mates coming to you're defence?

If you were let down badly by someone would you not want ur mates coming to you're defence? OH no the wine stain on the carpet story is about to be revealed !
colehillsaint Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I was going to ask actually; for the sake of the ill informed, what happened with Franny's house?
Roger Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 OH no the wine stain on the carpet story is about to be revealed ! Yes rupert, that's all there was to it. How's the duck hunting going?
manji Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I was going to ask actually; for the sake of the ill informed, what happened with Franny's house? See my post above. Happened a couple of years ago. Franny even did an embarrasing rant about it on one of the Saturday Morning Shows while the presenters looked on in bemusement.
manji Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 Is any of this spat football related? The Benali one ? Nothing whatsoever to do with football.
Crab Lungs Posted 8 September, 2012 Author Posted 8 September, 2012 Maybe the appointment of a FoB could help smooth things over.
Wes Tender Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 He's a public figure and he's going to get stick. I think he's man enough to take it. I think it's you lot that need to man up and stop squinnying about people defiling your hero. It's interesting that this statement could apply to either party in this petty b*tching. Good reason that both of their heads need to be banged together.
Roger Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 It's interesting that this statement could apply to either party in this petty b*tching. Good reason that both of their heads need to be banged together. Okay. I have commented on this but can we please lock this thread as its not very pleasant and it's something probably not worth thinking about at the mo. they can sort it out without us interfering.

The response on here is freaking hilarious and you are leading the charge. Lol, what a saddo you truly are. Cortese, has done an absolutely fantastic job, you don't like people showing their appreciation for that, you can go and do one. No matter what bollux you spew and it obviously irritates you, that won't change! As for calling other people sad, have a look at your pathetic self, how many people stick it to you here on a regular basis? As discussed earlier, you are obviously a bit underdeveloped, but yeah, that should be telling YOU something. Just accept, you are just really the BELLEND aren't you? What a knob.
manji Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 Maybe the appointment of a FoB could help smooth things over. I suspect quite a few of the FOBs are behind this . Maybe they have suggested to MLT that with a disastrous run of three defeats in a row it is the right time for a coup d'etat via twitter.
Sour Mash Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I can't imagine any other club in the footballing world having so little respect for their greatest footballing hero as is shown towards Le Tiss these days. Not sure if we deserved his loyalty for all those years.
Thedelldays Posted 8 September, 2012 Posted 8 September, 2012 I can't imagine any other club in the footballing world having so little respect for their greatest footballing hero as is shown towards Le Tiss these days. Not sure if we deserved his loyalty for all those years. I do agree but in the other hand, let's not pretend saints were not good for MLT either. What other club could he get away with rigging betting patterns and having a whole club set up around him. If we had gone down he would have gone and if he were around playing today he would have gone a long time ago However, he is my hero and I will always love him just wish he would just leave it and be happy for saints at the mo.

I agree, I'd rather he didn't stick stuff up on twitter. However as I asked earlier in the thread surely you can tell that something has happened to make Le Tiss feel genuinely gutted with the way he's been treated by Saints? Has he got history of picking arguments? Is he often picking fights for petty reasons? He's a popular, well liked bloke famed for being easy going. This isn't a Joey Barton or Stan Collymore character we're talking about here. You can clearly tell he cares a lot about the club and is genuinely gutted that it has ostracised him.
