Is the ticket site working?

I've emailed the ticket office but haven't had a reply yet.

:D and you never will. I would love to see a survey of how many people on here have used that email address and actually received a response. Anyone know who is in charge now that David Luker has gone? I feel the need to write a letter of complaint.

to be fair I emailed the TO with the same problem this morning and got a reply 10 mins later.. here's their reply about the online tickets not working..

"There is an error message on the online system as there are currently no tickets on sale, this error message is being looked into, however the message is occuring due to customers not being able to purchase tickets"

Thanks for the info. Just another indication of how awful the website is. It would be nice to have an indication of when tickets are on sale.

Must be just me then. I emailed them about the problem with the Arsenal away tickets and didn't hear a dickie bird.

New Ticket system is an epic fail. I wanted to upgrade my kids STs as they couldn't go and I wanted my parents-in-law to go (both OAP concessions). No longer can you upgrade during the week you have to do it ON MATCHDAY ONLY! wtf? So, I had to turn up 4 hours before kick off to avoid the queues. Then, because each ST holder has a different account I have to do two separate transactions which each have a £1.50 booking fee. £60 later and I have the upgrades.

Next time, I'm not going to both upgrading and just use the kids STs. After all, the turnstiles indicator lights only say if the ticket was full adult or concession - it doesn't distinguish between kids and OAPs.

I intended going today as at the last minute I could. It meant a 400 mile round trip. But when I saw the site and that all tickets appeared sold I clearly didn't bother. To now see that over a thousand were not sold is somewhat galling.......softened somewhat by the fact we lost and I saved over a hundred quid. But that's not the point. It is poor marketing. It appears that its not just on the field we have to learn.

Clearly two seperate issues here, the online system, and the hierarchy in the TO. Given how the new system was much heralded in the summer I would hope someone within SFC is putting a lot of pressure on the system supplier to rectify the problems. But just as important with these things is the ownership and customer service... we can all accept that problems will occur but how you respond to it and handle it is just as important as resolving it.

The PA announcer said after the game yesterday that tickets for the Sheffield Wednesday game were on sale immediately after the game, but neglected to say how much they were. They don't seem to be available on the website, nor is there any information about the pricing. Utter shambles.

I must admit, the whole ticketing side has taken a turn for the worst this year. I didn't think it could get any worse, but hey ho.

I used the online ticket system for the first time last night (to buy a couple of Villa tickets).

One word: abysmal

Extremely slow to load up each page; jumps off the page you're on at random; click to select a seat and it takes over 30 seconds to register than you've selected it (if you're lucky); eventually select two seats...get bombed off the site before checkout...go back in...the seats you just chose are now marked as 'blocked by ticketing' (the seats turn orange rather than grey)...start the whole process all over again and have to select a different pair of seats because the previous ones stay marked as 'blocked'. Eventually got tickets after half a dozen tries.

Remind me...this is the 21st century, isn't it?

Only took me 5 minutes to get tickets for the Villa game.

Logged on yesterday at 9:25 had chosen 2 seats and paid for them by 9:31.

My old man, who 'doesn't like booking online', had called the ticket office and was held in a queue when I logged on, he was still on hold when I showed him two seats in the Chapel End and asked 'they allright?'

It all sounds a bit hit and miss as it was borderline unusable last night. Maybe they were doing some maintenance on the site or such like. Will see if I fare any better next time.

Another problem with the site is that you can choose exact seats, this ends up with load sof single seats dotted all over the place that people then domt want to buy, sort it out.

I had the same thought last night. Whilst online seat selection is a step forward they don't seem to have a safeguard in place to prevent single seats being left unsold. Most theatre ticket booking systems won't let you chose seats online that then leave a single seat for sale. Quite a simple enhancement or config update to the software I'd have thought.

Haven't actually been able to get on the website using IE since it changed. I just get a blank screen. If I use Chrome I can get on, it freezes quite a bit, but I was able to buy my Arsenal tickets easily enough once I had managed to get logged on. Then the money was debited from my account 6 times, but other than that, it was OK.

Id imagine its got to be the priority for them, put me off going to the united game because i could only find singles.
