dannysfc Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 I see that no one has started a topic on this yet so I'd thought I'd get the ball rolling for a change as I see that the Capital 1 Cup 3rd Round Draw is tonight after the Northampton v Wolves game and am seeing who fellow Saints fans want in the next round? I wouldn't mind either Crawley Home/Away or a Big team like Man U, Etc tbh But We'l See...!!! COYR!!!
The9 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 "A big team" at home would be excellent, they could send their reserves and I could decide not to bother going.
The9 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Crawley away is about the only game I'd do Agreed. But it's not like I've even looked at who's in the draw. Might give Burton consideration but probably not.
paulwantsapint Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 its going to be some awful away match up north
This Charming Man Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 its going to be some awful away match up north With any luck!
opthomps Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Someone on the tele, but we'll see! to nick your catchphrase
Saintandy666 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 The most underwhelming draw possible. MK Dons or something similar.
edprice1984 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Someone sh*t, I fancy a cup run. Shame the Skates are out then I fancy a midlands game so Villa, Coventry or Wolves (should they get through)...Not WBA, I think they will be targeting a good run in the cup.
The9 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Sky are on ads and the programme finishes by 10pm so assuming the draw will be along shortly.
Thedelldays Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Sky are on ads and the programme finishes by 10pm so assuming the draw will be along shortly. in about 1 minute

Whitey Grandad Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 I can go to that. When is the next round?
The9 Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Sheff Weds at home, excellent, I totally don't care.
Jack Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Couldn't give a shiny one. Good chance to go through I guess
LGTL Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Good chance of getting through. Lots of all PL affairs...who knows!
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Not a bad draw, at home. . Chance to get through.
Shroppie Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Prem teams drawn together. We can win this cup.
Give it to Ron Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Against our old friends Antonio and Dave Jones who has them playing really well.
Saint Garrett Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Definitely one which we can win, and also a potential banana skin. Be a good test for the reserves. Just hope it's priced well enough to get an unembarrassing crowd.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Aren't Wednesday on some crazy winning streak under Dave Jones?
Thedelldays Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Aren't Wednesday on some crazy winning streak under Dave Jones? they are flying, yes
bridge too far Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Aren't Wednesday on some crazy winning streak under Dave Jones? Didn't they put Fulham out in the previous round?
Monkou Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Not a great draw to be honest. Would probably have been easier to get a smaller prem club like us who would play their 2nd XI.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Didn't they put Fulham out in the previous round? Yup... "The victory means Jones has not tasted defeat in 17 outings since succeeding Gary Megson, racking up 14 wins and three draws."
View From The Top Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 This cup is winnable so I really hope that we take it seriously for once.
Under Weststand Posted 30 August, 2012 Posted 30 August, 2012 Difficult tie it wont be easy, good to see Dave Jones back. He really has Sheff Wed flying since he arrived they've been on an incredible run.
captainchris Posted 31 August, 2012 Posted 31 August, 2012 Well if Antonio plays against Fox we are in for a torrid night! 14 hrs left to sign a left back-please please can we sign a left back- Notts Forest have a good one I hear!!!!
Wes Tender Posted 31 August, 2012 Posted 31 August, 2012 I can just see Antonio scoring the winner and Jones adding to the jinx possibilities.
Lets B Avenue Posted 31 August, 2012 Posted 31 August, 2012 I can just see Antonio scoring the winner and Jones adding to the jinx possibilities. Dont think Jones has ever got as much as a draw hereat SMS. Even Claus got his 2 goals against his teams and Woeful McGoldrick got the 1-0 winner in 09 before we went into administration.
