Poor Green. Didn't they just sign him? Never mind.

Wouldn't want him, no better than what we have. I'm all for improving the squad, but we already have Davis in that experienced GK role. If we're going to get another keeper I'd rather it was another youngen.

If we sign Green I won't be happy. Jason Steele from Boro would be a better target if we're looking for a keeper.

I like Steele, good keeper. I would have said Butland a few weeks back, but I don't think he's ready. I reckon a season for Birmingham will do him the world of good, and as long as we keep our interest fresh we could get ourselves a much more mature player in 12 months or so.

We will not be in the hunt in a years time, probably too late even now as far as a fee would be concerned.

QPR sign Julio Cesar.....WTF.!!!!

Esteban Granero from Real is signing next! Id love to know MLGs opinion on it. Weve also done a jedi mind trick on marseilles and convinced them to swap Mbia for Barton.

As for Green, Hughes wants to keep him.

We could get the same quality as Green at a much lower price.

Getting a packet of butter and smearing it on Kelv's gloves before each game, for example. A much cheaper way to get the same end result.

I dont think so, the TV money is £60m next year and whoever goes down is in real trouble. Cesar, Granero and Mbia should mean a top half finish.

If Rodriguez is on 40k a week, he will cost the same as Cesar over 4 years.

I didn't think we'd ever be in the hunt for Ramirez, so never say never. We're playing at the top table now.

but I doubt rodriguez is on £40k a week.

how on earth you can go every season and buy pretty much a new team is beyond me...you are even now replacing the signings you have just made...THAT is madness

My boss is a ST at Loftus road, he doesn't rate Green at all and added obviously neither does Mark Hughes seeing as he splashed out on Green then goes and gets Cesar!

Certainly not very high on my list.

Rodriguez isn't on anything remotely close to £40k p/w

What is it then, if its 25k then what would you rather have, £4m and a NPC player or a genuine world class player?

I think Cerny got injured and Green has been awful in every game, even in pre season so something had to be done.

As for a new team, we have 4 (5 including Cesar) new players and a wage bill lower than last season and also behind Saints in spending with £1.5m spent on fees.

well, the south american correspndant was on talksport earlier saying that there is a reason why Julio Ceasar is going to QPR and not a big european club....he reckons you will be lucky to get 1 full season out of him

maybe fees..but your wages are just sick...£50k+ a week for a keeper you just got and will now put on the bench....god knows how much Ceasar will be on.

Hoilett will be on a packet.....Park..? dawson..? (if you get him)...bosingwa..? I would guess that it is a sickening amount

Based on what you raving nutjob?

Ha :)

Based on absolutely nothing. Which is about as reliable as any other source about ATM.

It's amazing though. You could say anything, and there will always be 2 conflicting sides arguing black is white

I note you still haven't admitted you got it wrong with your claim QPR have a category one academy, when in fact they didn't even apply for such a status yet alone achieve category 1 status.

Nor have you acknowledge that simply wanting a new stadium means you will soon have a new stadium. Brighton for example took over 14 years to get a new stadium, numerous other examples around the county of long waits to move - including Saints.

Saints are signing players with huge potential in their early 20's on relatively small wages. QPR are bloating their squad with players with big rep, relatively old, huge wages and little sell on value. If relegated you will struggle to remove some of them from the wage bill without taking a huge financial hit. Signing players like Nathaniel Clyne and Gaston Ramirez, along with having one of the best academies in England is a far better long term strategy.

I do find it madness that they offered Green a mega deal to tempt him there, and now they've gone and signed someone else to replace him - 3 months after signing him.

I don't care what you say Flyer, but that's not a way to run a football club.

I hate to say this because I like you lot - go there quite often with my mate and sit on the halfway line in a proper seat (no fecking legroom for 6'2!) in a proper ground where we can scream at Derry and your useless left-winger and they HEAR us! - but you're going down with Hughes at the helm...

Interesting. But that's just for Lee, is there a link to show Rodriguez is on a similar amount?

Tadanari Lee on £23k p/w, the British press when Rodriguez signed reported wages of £25k p/w.

Doesn't look out of place when you compare the two for a pay structure and ties in what I've heard from a good source. Neither anywhere close to £40k p/w.

Top earner at Saints is possibly Steven Davis on around £30k p/w when you consider his wages at Rangers, Lambert and Lallana would be up there with him.

Interesting. I'd have guessed at slightly more than that, around £30K pw.

Signing a decent keeper on high wages and then signing another just because he's had a few iffy games are the actions of a very confused club.

QPR smells of instability and zero long term planning.

Thats a recipe for big trouble.

Certainly NOT Green, but with " Gazza" as the only other option, I 'd like an experienced keeper on the books as back-up...at least until we see Gazza getting 3 or 4 clean sheets in the U21's
