Not sure I'd be that comfortable with anyone picking the 11 other than nige - that always ends in disaster! Am hoping it's lost in translation and he's just been told he'll be ''involved''.

Should always be the managers call as to who plays. The cynic in my wonders if that's why Guly has been ever-present even after some poor performances.

I saw that on Twitter, I'm pretty sure it means he's got clearance to play Saturday, rather than he's in the starting XI

Of course he isn't picking the team! ffs Even if he was, why would you have an issue with it? Saints have just had back to back promotions so whatever the club's management strategy is, it works very well.

A toss up between being too busy, waiting for his international clearance to come through before we jump the gun, and possibly we're waiting for all the new signings to come through to get them all in the same picture. If the latter is the case, Adkins will look like a kid at Christmas.
