BarneySFC Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 Anyone got any and pictures? Seen a few at england games and away, was just wondering where in the perm will let us put up big flags? (Got two 6ft x 12ft) Took one to man city and found out it was too big and so don't want to get to games and be turned away otherwise will just take the smaller ones

Griffo Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 It's a shame more people don't bother really. I'd take mine regularly if others did. Can't think of many games this season where we'll be able to get them up. Villa (if you're in the top tier) Arsenal there is a couple of spaces for flags. Everton, again from the top tier but I doubt we'll be even given that top tier there. Spurs from the top tier? Haven't seen any ever put up there before though so possibly stewards don't allow it. There will be room to put them on the seats at Swansea because we won't sell out I'd have thought. At QPR they can be hung off the top tier. There should be space at West Brom with us having loads of empty seats due to it being a Monday night and on Sky. There will be room for them to go possibly on spare seats or across the segregation at Stoke? Plenty of room for them at Sunderland. Same for Wigan, we won't sell out the whole end there. It all makes for such soulless stadia these days. Heaven forbid a flag might obscure an advertising hoarding, or worse still, pose a health and safety risk... Heaven forbid a flag might obscure an advertising hoarding, or worse still, pose a health and safety risk... At Wembley you can only hang your flag up if you have a fire certificate for it. The company that make the flags (Barmy Flags) now print a copy of the fire certificate on the back of the flag because more and more grounds in this country demand it. Madness. What a sanitised, health and safety obsessed country we reside in.

doubleonothing Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 Think.I might get hold of an old red ensign on board ship and get the sailors to stitch Southampton on to it in white. Wasn't there a massive saints flag at pride park when derby passed their crappy small one round. Seem to remember it being passed over our heads (saints one not the derby one)

1576 Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 As St. Jason is feeling technically challenged I've uploaded his for him. Done for the trip to Bucharest as was mine which I cant find any pics for at the moment. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Not strictly flag related but you can see some at the front of the terrace. Wet and windy was certainly the experience that evening. For anyone there my flag was three quarters of the way up the Intercontinental hotel. St. Jason Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 Only problem with the Harefield flag is the size, great for Bucharest but apparently "to big" for Wembley!!!!!!!!
Spudders Posted 27 August, 2012 Share Posted 27 August, 2012 I don't own a whole one, but I have a part share in a massive flag of Markus Liebherr. I've not seen it for over a year, but I'm sure the club are just waiting for the optimum time to get it out again!
JackanorySFC Posted 28 August, 2012 Share Posted 28 August, 2012 Only problem with the Harefield flag is the size, great for Bucharest but apparently "to big" for Wembley!!!!!!!! You need to get it back out the front of the Hare & Hounds. Looked quality when it was last there, then again most of Cheriton always does during a tournament, decent effort put in normally by those in Harefield! JRM Posted 28 August, 2012 Share Posted 28 August, 2012 Good effort made there by those who have flags, best bet for getting them on display will be the games where we have tons of empty seats, rather than people dressing up should do that for last away of the season at Sunderland
