St.JonB Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Just noticed that them down the road are at home this weekend as well. If they had not moved our game for TV we would be playing at the same time. I did not think this happened (or have they falling so far they do not count anymore)? It would have made my trip home to Portchester interesting anyway.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 I think in the old days the two clubs always requested not to be home at the same time, because way back then there were people (myself included) who would take in each other's game in. Those days are long gone methinks. I wouldn't be seen dead in Farton Park these days
The9 Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Surprised the police have allowed this, we've always been linked with the Skates and they don't have the resources to cover both on the same day. Guessing Sky were able to confirm they would show us on the Sunday before the L1 fixtures could be confirmed.

Miltonroader07 Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 I dont think it matters one jot if they are at home, not the same league of fan-base. Ignore them let them get stuck into League One,. see if they rise to the Prem as fast as a huge south coast club
charliemiller Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 When I was a Teenager long ago and lived in Stubbington/Hillhead it was Fareham station carnage some weekends , quite funny because was the same guys I went to school with on Mondays after the rucks on Saturday !!
70's Mike Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Perhaps Plod only need PC McGarry No.452 to look after that lot now there's even phewer. And he is doing it for free
JPTCount Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 dont the clubs pay for overtime? and maybe that's why it's in tv, as one of the games would be moved to Sunday anyway, 3pm ko like they do for fixture stacking.
sidthesquid Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Bompey at home, too. You'd have thought there was enough traffic heading south on a Bank Holiday weekend.
