Stevenage 1 Saints 4 : Reactions

As others have said Jack Stephens should be given a go, Seabourne sounds like one mistake away from a Stevenage goal at the moment

Stephens in pre-season was like a rabbit in the headlights; perhaps why Butterfield is playing tonight and not him. We just don't have options at centre-back right now.

Got a Wigan-Saints double on tonight. Man up and get it going Saints.

must have been sh1t odds.

FFS one of the plusses of being in the PL is you have a genuine chance of getting to Wembley in this cup or in the FA cup (semi). Why the f are we clearly not trying.

When has Seaborne ever been any better than mid table L1 standard. He hasn't which is why I've been saying all summer get rid. He's awful. If he hadnt had that bang on the head he wouldnt still be at the club IMO.

This. Would much rather have kept Martin at the club this season.

God we sound awful. This formation that NA seems to be persevering with could be the undoing of us this season.

We do not have the players for 4-3-3 and seem to be undoing all that was good about us last season by trying to fit the players we have to a system which clearly does not suit us.

Back to 4-4-2 please Nige.

And when he got injured ? Then what ?

Not an injured footballer?! Shock horror. They've just come back from summer break and have lost their first 2 games of the season, I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest Rodriguez could have started up top tonight.

Yeah

Clearly your not getting the point I am making....

We barely have a second string team... In escence... This is it, woefully inadequate for a prem campaign, so why risk him against low league competition in a nothing cup ?

Are they of sufficient quality to test him !? No

Will he still gain fitness etc in training ? Yes

So whats the point ? I can understand Lee, but certainly anyone who I would consider a starter
