NY Saint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Can Saint Scott always make the match threads? He's done it lovely with team line ups and club crests and stuff. Premier league means premier quality match threads... or something. Welcome to Stevenage... oh. Anyone have radio commentary that's not Saints Player? I'm still boycotting it because of its awful quality, non-exisitent customer service blah, blah. And I'm skint.
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Can Saint Scott always make the match threads? He's done it lovely with team line ups and club crests and stuff. Sounds good to me.
ericofarabia Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 No big guns on the bench then as a just in case scenario crops up. I can't fathom out why we aren't taking this match seriously. 5 days before we play Manure, and then a blank weekend. Our only realistic shot at Europe A win, no matter who against is always good, our 2nd X1 losing wouldn't do morale any good at all for fans or players. A chance for strikers to notch a goal or two Maybe they are supremely confident of a win. Hope we can get a commanding lead and let Sinclair show us what he can do. I staying up till 1 am to listen to this - don't even think about extra time and penaltys FFS. COYS
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 “@officialsaints: Around 800 Saints fans in fine voice at Broadhall Way, as Stevenage get this Capital One Cup game under way. #saintsfc”
stmusicdude Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 I would be so hacked off if I were Billy Sharp............. to be fair .. your always hacked off
VectisSaint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 De Ridder is really frozen out, then. Seems that way, unless he is injured, although frankly not surprised. He does not seem to be as good as we all hoped when he signed. Wouldn't surprise me to see him involved in a p-ex deal this week.
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 “@officialsaints: Saints have the ball in the net after just 3 mins. Ward-Prowse through ball, Sharp puts it in. Offside flag up quickly. No goal. #saintsfc”
Saint_Ash Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Hopefully give Lee the much needed match fitness as I reckon he should be a starter in the league.
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 “@officialsaints: Stevenage straight down the other end. Free kick from Tansey hits the underside of the bar and bounces out. #saintsfc”
BARCELONASAINT Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 have we scored??? BBC showing us 1-0 up?
Saint Garrett Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Sounds like Stevenage have their own Palace style ultras!!

COYS what makes you think we aren't taking it seriously, Eric? I really didn't expect such negativity from you (!) At least 8 of the start side played in Championship games last season..and tonight we are playing an L1 side..... At least 6 of them have something to prove and everyone will want to be in consideration for the game on Sunday .... If we lose big time ..then we know they aren't up to it, if we win well ....then NA will be reassured he can call on them if /when required.
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 “@officialsaints: A lively opening. Ward-Prowse cuts inside and drills a low shot past the post, via a deflection. Corner headed over by Seaborne. #saintsfc”
eurosaint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 I would be so hacked off if I were Billy Sharp............. Strange to pick out one player as 'hacked off' as probably ten others are delighted to get a game and a chance to prove themselves ! As it happens I think Billy will be happy as well !
DanW Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Our outfield bench's average age is...what, 13 years old? Wow. Sucks for SDR. I always liked him for that goal against Reading.
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 The way we are playing, I mean we havnt scored yet FFS We are deffo going down

Fair chance Lee won't last 90 mins, let alone any Extra Time if needed!! They maybe L1 but 4 games so far won 3 drawn 1. Seem to be intent on ripping us a new one so far, no old heads on bench to calm things down.
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 “@officialsaints: 24 gone. Stevenage's Robbie Rogers drives from the half way line and shoots left footed. Gazzaniga makes the save low to his left. #saintsfc”
Shroppie Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Come on you Saints get it sorted FFS. Bit early for panic nuns? Case of premature enunciation methinks.
Frank's cousin Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 and not the kind of nun I am looking forward to either!
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Reading equalise then immediately concede 2-2 now haha
ottery st mary Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Lee is coming back from injury...FFS Dave
SaintNeil90 Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Stevenage seem a little dominant tbh. Not surprising considering the team we have out.
S-Clarke Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Not surprising considering the team we have out. Should be more than enough to do a job on Stevenage.
buctootim Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Stevenage seem a little dominant tbh. Thats what you do against better teams though - burn up lots of energy trying to get an early goal and then try to hold on. Reckon it will settle down and we'll come out on top later.
Saint Charlie Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Not surprising considering the team we have out. Good Championship regulars being dominated by a L1 team...
Frank's cousin Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 First time this bunch have played together for a while - and its Stevenages cup final (as much as I hate that patronizing shiedt) tehir players will be raising it to test themselves a against a prim side - albeit our reserves
Saint Scott Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 @officialsaints: 34 played. Haber played through inside left channel, crosses from the byline and Seaborne hacks it away. Dangerous from the hosts. #saintsfc
ericofarabia Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 We don't seem to be able to string 2 passes together - not many putting themselves in contention for Sunday.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 FFS get Seabourne off he sounds sh!t We need quality CB's for the Prem and fast cos Seabourne is not up to League one standard by sounds of it
Thedelldays Posted 28 August, 2012 Author Posted 28 August, 2012 to be fair...we sound shyt....not winning this game would crank the pressure a bit I would think
The Kraken Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 FFS get Seabourne off he sounds sh!t We need quality CB's for the Prem and fast cos Seabourne is not up to League one standard by sounds of it Good idea. Who should we put on for him? Bearing in mind he's already playing alongside a right back.
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 I really dont care about the league cup, we barely have the squad for a prem campaign as it is
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Good idea. Who should we put on for him? Bearing in mind he's already playing alongside a right back. Is Stephens not on the bench ?
John Boy Saint Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Stevenage seem a little dominant tbh. Not a surprise they have been a bit handy for a few years. I would keep an eye on Wigan this season, brother in law said Chelsea caught them cold first 6 minutes, then Chelsea had trouble getting hold of the ball for the rest of the game when he made the trip up there. We know what happened Saturday v us when many thought it was a good 3 point chance on paper. Tonight v Forest they are just playing footy in top gear stroking it around, Forest are just chasing shadows Wigan not even breaking a sweat and 2-0 up.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 28 August, 2012 Posted 28 August, 2012 Almost half time......not one Saints shot on target yet and a few for Stevenage Even with the team we have out we should be owning them Chaplow and a few other fringe players should be busting there balls to put in a performance tonight
