Suhari Posted 25 August, 2012 Posted 25 August, 2012 ffs, best play a strong team to get a win under our belts ffs..... My team (433) Gazza Clyne Fonte Jos Shaw Hammond Davis Lallana Punch Rodriguez Lee Davis Richardson Seaborne Chappers Sharp Lambert Chambers Swap Chappers and Hammond and you're there.
Lighthouse Posted 25 August, 2012 Posted 25 August, 2012 Gazza Frazer - Fonte - Seaborne - Shaw Chaplow - JWP - Lallana De Ridder - Rodriguez - Puncheon
Dazza82 Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 ------------Gazza Clyne--Fonte--Hooiveld--Shaw Davis--- Ward-prowse -------Lallana Puncheon--------Lee --------Rodriguez
saintchris23 Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 I don't want to see Adam Lallana anywhere near that squad five days before United. JWP wil benefit massively along with Shaw and why not put Hoskins on the bench?
Dalek2003 Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 We need to go for this cup, it may alleviate the gloom if we are struggling in the league and a good 2nd prize if we get relegated.
K,Billy's supersound Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 ------------Gazza Frazer--Stephens--Seabourne--Shaw Chaplow-----Hammond©--- Ward-prowse Puncheon-----Sharpe-----Lee Subs: Davis, Fonte,Fox Reeves, Davis, Guly, Hoskins
Appy Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 We have sold 706 tickets. Not too bad, i expect it will go over 1000.
Griffo Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 Not too bad, i expect it will go over 1000. In 2 days? I doubt it. I reckon between 8-900.
LGTL Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 No doubt the 700 or so of us will make more noise then the whole of SMS yesterday.
Griffo Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 No doubt the 700 or so of us will make more noise then tye whole of SMS yesterday. These sort of games we tend to just stand in silence for. Can't see anyone bothering to make any noise really.
LGTL Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 These sort of games we tend to just stand in silence for. Can't see anyone bothering to make any noise really. True, although that will still probably be better then yesterday!
View From The Top Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 I finally understood what a sad fu.cker I am when I bought tickets to this simply to tick a ground off. I really need a life.
Griffo Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 I finally understood what a sad fu.cker I am when I bought tickets to this simply to tick a ground off. I really need a life. I did Stevenage a couple of seasons ago to tick it off. Did it again last season to watch them in the first leg of their play-offs against Sheffield United simply because I was bored. Tuesday will be my 3rd time there. I lead a pointless life.
Badger Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 ------------Gazza Frazer--Stephens--Seabourne--Shaw Chaplow-----Hammond©--- Ward-prowse Puncheon-----Sharpe-----Lee Subs: Davis, Fonte,Fox Reeves, Davis, Guly, Hoskins I expect we'll play one of the more experienced CB's rather than the two you suggest. Up front, I expect Rodriguez will play some part, on the grounds that a goal or two will do his confidence the world of good.
ART Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 I reckon this is going to be a tough game. Look the run around they gave Spuds last season. In fact it was Redknapp's inability to finish them off that lost him any chance of the England job. Stevenage are even stronger this season.

Saints Warrior Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 Will be tough game as Saints wont put more than 5 1st team players in for this game. Banana skin type game for a Prem team. I bet its a 0-0 draw

Saints Warrior Posted 26 August, 2012 Posted 26 August, 2012 Ah, cheers, then I will go for Win for Saints on Pens, Saints to sit back for 70 mins before doing anything. I was looking forward to a replay!
david in sweden Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 I'd go with Gazza Richardson Fonte Seaborne Shaw Jwp Hammond Chaplow Lee J rod Puncheon just about right I think St.Chalet...expect I would think Billy would get an airing, too. Not going to chance any of the key names when only 3 days away from the MU game.
The9 Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 (edited) ART having one of his funny moments again Not even Roger talks as much baseless shiiiite. I can't imagine we'll put anything near a first team out. Like we didn't on Saturday. Gazzaniga; Richardson, Stephens, Seaborne, Shaw; Puncheon, Hammond, Reeves, Lee; Sharp, Hoskins. Or similar. Edited 27 August, 2012 by The9
The Cat Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 It will be tight, and then with 25 to go we'll bring on the cavalry and win 3-0.
the saint in winchester Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Gazza Frazer - Stephens- Seaborne - Shaw Chaplow - Hammond - JWP De Ridder - T.Lee - Puncheon
Hopkins Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Change Sharp for De Ridder and that will be the team above IMO.
Neil Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Could really do with a win, a clean sheet and perhaps a goal for J-Rod. I hope we're taking this reasonably seriously and will try to win and perhaps gain some small momentum for Sunday.
ottery st mary Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Chambers and Stephens will play or get a run from the bench... Shaw and Ward-Prowse will start the game...
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 are tickets available on the gate? Go on their website. Choose your seat. Dont order ticket delivery. Print receipt. Collect pre-match at their office in the club shop.
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Gazza Richardson Hooiveld Stephens Shaw Chaplow JWP Hammond Sharp J Rod Lee Subs: Davis, Seaborne, Butterfield, Chambers, Lallana, Puncheon, Lambert That's what I'd go with. Don't want to risk our most crucial players for the league and need to give the squad players some game time.
Lets B Avenue Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Gazza Richardson Hooiveld Stephens Shaw Chaplow JWP Hammond Sharp J Rod Lee Subs: Davis, Seaborne, Butterfield, Chambers, Lallana, Puncheon, Lambert That's what I'd go with. Don't want to risk our most crucial players for the league and need to give the squad players some game time. So why play Jos?
the wedge Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Could anyone tell me what the ticket situation is? I'd like to go but Stevenage have taken the tickets off sale online...
Sour Mash Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 As we don't play again until Sunday and then have a two break, I'd expect a fairly strong line-up from us. Plenty of players could still do with a bit of match sharpness, I think we'll only rest two or three, depending on knocks from the Wigan game.
THEVMAN Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Other than Kelvin i dont think any of saturdays starting eleven are travelling on tuesday.
Thedelldays Posted 27 August, 2012 Author Posted 27 August, 2012 Other than Kelvin i dont think any of saturdays starting eleven are travelling on tuesday. in that case Gazza Richardson Seaborne stephens Shaw JWP Hammond Chaplow Punch Sharp Lee
L1Minus10 Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 Gazza Frazer Stephens All at Sea Bourne Shaw Chaplow Hammond Chambers de Ridder Sharp Lee Subs: Puncheon, Davis, JWP, Butters, Dickson, Hoskins
LeBenali Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 If that's the case, then something like: Gazza Richardson Stephens Seaborne Shaw Hammond JWP Chaplow Puncheon Sharp Lee
dickyhale Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 We have sold 706 tickets. Just brought a pair for Rolly and I. Took half a day.....COYR
Itchen_block4 Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 ------------------------Gazzaniga Richardson-----Stephens-----Seaborne-----Shaw ----------------Hammond-----JWP ------------------------Chambers Puncheon---------------------------------------Lee --------------------------Sharp We'll need to be extremely tidy if we're going for Stephens and Seaborne at the back. We can't let them get expoxsed.
Bailey Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 One thing is for sure, neither Fonte or Hooiveld will be involved. With our current lack of depth in that position, we simply can't afford to risk either of them. If they were to pick up an injury or suspension, the Man Utd game would be . . . interesting?
captainchris Posted 27 August, 2012 Posted 27 August, 2012 ------------------------Gazzaniga Richardson-----Stephens-----Seaborne-----Shaw ----------------Hammond-----JWP ------------------------Chambers Puncheon---------------------------------------Lee --------------------------Sharp We'll need to be extremely tidy if we're going for Stephens and Seaborne at the back.
