ladysaint Posted 25 August, 2012 Share Posted 25 August, 2012 Anyone forked out £45 to join this season, if so what's changed was it worth it.
Saintscott Posted 26 August, 2012 Share Posted 26 August, 2012 I went in there yesterday. They have given it a coat of paint, taken out the sofa seats round the edge and got rid of the pictures of true legends of saints to be replaced with canvas of Ricky and Jay Rod. The price for food is now £6.50 and there is less choice and if you just want a bottle of coke you now can't get one but have to pay £1.50 for 3/4 of a can of coke at the bar. No new TV screens and no atmosphere. All in all a complete rip off and if you are thinking of buying membership I would save your money
Thedelldays Posted 26 August, 2012 Share Posted 26 August, 2012 is this the next thing to moan about?
saints_is_the_south Posted 26 August, 2012 Share Posted 26 August, 2012 Why anybody would spend £45 for a membership for the Dell Club to drink & eat, when you can gain entry to any pub for free is beyond me.
Saint Malc Posted 26 August, 2012 Share Posted 26 August, 2012 I was in there yesterday with my daughter and I really liked the friendly atmosphere (and the Grolsch in real glasses). We have to get to the ground early for my friend (he's disabled) so it's going to be more comfortable than the concourse in the freezing weather that's for sure. A thumbs up from me. mcjwills Posted 26 August, 2012 Share Posted 26 August, 2012 Why not try Northam club just down the road at £1.00 per person entry if your not a CIU member. They will allow children in and the beers are at club prices. A winner all round I'd say.

I used to go in there a few years ago and, because I went in there a lot, I tried to join (I filled in three separate application forms) and they didn't even have the courtesy to acknowlege my applications despite my constant weekly prompting. To$$ers.
