Sack Adkins bring in Redknapp

Seaford Saint

Adkins will take us down.

he was never the manager to take us forward.

he has showed how frail he is these past couple of seasons.

when the time has come ,he has failed.

hes been backed, but we have limped over the line.

he could never manage a side in the premiership, way beyond his capabilities.

hes out of his depth.

Still hanging around like a bad smell then?

A clueless one at that..

I dont know what stuff some of you have been smoking, but you are definately not on planet earth. We have played 2 games in the PL and you want to get rid of one of our most successful managers ever. AND you want to replace him with a manager who is not only the most hated person ever at SFC (Lowe being his equal) but one who's only success has been obtain by spending vast amounts of money, using the system that if he buys enough players eventually 11 of them will be any good.

Initially I thought this was some sort of joke, but unless I've missed all the 'smiley face thingeys' some of you actually beleive this to be a good idea.

What a crock of sheite the original idea, lets get rid of one of the most up and coming managers and replace him with a dubious manager that has absolutely no loyalty to any club. We may not stay up, but he will learn the lessons that will be needed to ensure that if in the unlikely event we go down when we return we will stay up.

I really do not want to hear the name Rednapp in the same sentence as our football team ever again. If you get the clap once ,do you go back for a second dose , I don't think so.

This * 1000.

I am mainly a lurker on here, it seems only Redknapp threads raise my ire enough to post.

Two games, replaced by Wigley not Gray. Adkins will get longer than Luggy at least.

if I recall correctly......Stuart Gray was appointed (belatedly).. after Glenn Hoddle's sudden departure to his " spiritual home " at White Hot Lane...I think he had about 8 or 9 games with barely two wins.

to call Steve Wigley - our manager - was slightly wrong... better "caretaker " as I think at the time, he didn't have the requisite coaching badges required to be a Prem.manager..(?)

I want Adkins to be given a chance to manage in the Prem.

However events so far seem to suggest that the club is lacking expertise in successfully using the transfer market.

It may have been a good idea to use Redknapp as a transfer consultant, but no more.

Too late now though, but the Wigan disaster-and it is a six-point disaster without doubt, should concentrate minds.

Having Redknapp as a transfer consultant would be like letting Pete Doherty run your Pharmacy.

As for Harry's comment that he is best when he can manage top players, no **** sherlock. Try getting Paul Wotton, Simon Gillett and Wes Thomas to recreate the Tardelli goal in the World Cup, that would be good management.

Exactly, Renknapp's recent words just confirm what we already knew. Give him hundreds of millions in laundered money, sell on bonuses for himself and internation mercenaries, and he'll win you an FA Cup against division 1 opposition.

Otherwise he's full of ****.

This is a stupid thread, but then woh else started it Twenty

Its bad enough suggesting NA be sack but it far more offensive suggesting redkrapp as a replacement.

Theres no way that twitch and his mutt will ever be offered a job here again let alone be welcomed by the majority of Saints fans. unless your the OP or Mr Happy

Posts:1,334 Sack Adkins bring in Redknapp

Not my view but I overheard some guys on the way out discussing this as I walked to the car. Unbelievable.

Also heard fans texting in on Radio Solent calling for him to go......After 2 games......

Speechless!!!

Original post is above. Obviously most people dont read it, but simply slag the Op off for saying what they would actually agree with if they could be arsed to read the post.

Speechless!!!

Redcrap out!

To clarify, both my son and I were shocked to overhear the conversations we did. Pretty much disgusted with the radio comments too.

I got Adkins autograph on Saturday as well pretty much the entire squad. I was too tongue tied to speak to him really. He hoped I would enjoy the game. I would have liked to have thankd him for giving us the best 2 years of footy I have experienced....I will have to write to him instead.

Cortese wants adkins out the first 4 fixtures are great news for him, bottom of the table start of November he will be out for sure

Oh come on! You only had to look at the fixtures the day they were released to realise that we were always going to be up against it. I took one look at it and said we'd be on 0pts after 6 games with Wigan at home our only hope of picking up points. Even the eternal optimist would have said we'd be lucky to have 6 pts after 6 games. I hardly think NC will have looked at the fixture list, rubbed his hands together and said 'great, these fixtures are perfect for getting rid of Nigel. I won't need to come up with some elaborate story like I did when I got rid of Pardew'.

New QPR boss within 3 months imo

Redknapp & QPR sound like a match made in heaven (or is it hell).

They're made for each other, just like Pompey and their dodgy set-up was perfect for 'Arry.

I can't imagine Redknapp and his personality/style fitting in with the current ownership at Saints (and I'm not even taking the fan reaction in to account). Pardew was sacked because he couldn't live with the way Cortese handled transfers and Redknapp is even more of a old-style "I decide everything" manager.

Not desperate to be proved right, quite the opposite.

but good 'old smiley Nigel was/is way out of his depth.

tactically out thought on many an occasion, remember Reading defeat, amongst others.we almost threw our advantage away.

good luck to the fella, but he was never going to cut the mustard.

i have heard so many horror story's about him,no wonder Corteses want rid.

shame really,he could've had a bright future.

turn it around nige, would love to see you prove others wrong.

All bull****, especially the bold bit. You've posted a number of times about Adkins being "out of his depth" etc. yet after Man City you were praising his tactical nous. Which is it?

I do think there is a conflict between NA and NC but I think this is down to style rather than substance. NA I think wants to build with young talent, NC favours marquee signings - hopefully they can find a happy medium. I am not convinced by NA's 'spotting a good player'-ibility as historically he has tended to go for what he knows (Forte, Hooper etc.), that said I think he is tactically bold and not afraid to change things.

Adkins is similar I would suggest to Hoddle in that, if you went in at halftime behind, generally things would be shaken up in the second half - but he couldn't spot a player to save his life. Strachan on the other hand, reasonable nose for a player but tactically naive (65mins change Fernandez was his only tactic).

Adkins is a good manager. Will he be given time? Only NC knows - but either way Redknapp is not the answer (I am sure it suits him though. Commutable from Sandbanks and lots of fat transfers to get a cut of).

Adkins lost us today's game, very nieve.

hes out of his depth and needs to learn very quickly and I hope for SFCs' sake he does.

no room for sentiment in this game.

Crawl back into your cave. Individual errors cost us the game more than anything else. Adkins will make mistakes like anyone else but ultimately we're playing well and and will wins games in this league.

Yes Adkins made suicidal mistakes today, but he has got the team playing superbly. Cut out the mistakes and individual errors and we clearly have a fine team.

Almost exactly this although the three subs didn't mean that Fonte had to slice and ball and leave his man.

Don't get me wrong I would hate to see Nige go but those subs were unacceptable. Bring off our best three players and replace them with those three is ridiculous.

Even with those three on ffs put jay rod up top for a bit of height to hold the ball up a bit, surely he knew in the last ten we would be hoofing it long but he puts a guy about 5 foot 7 whos been here for two days.

And to bring on Guly in that situation...............

Paul Scholes was excellent no doubt, but those subs were ridiculous, i said it when they were made as many around me did, they didn't make logical sense, i still now can't understand what he was thinking!

That the players he took off were knackered and the introduction of fresh legs would enable us to chase more effectively and counter attack more quickly. Of the 3 I would probably only question the replacement of Lallana, and would not have brought on Guly.
