Just your standard over-priced average English footballer really. 10-12 goals at best.

I'd accept that. I dont know what would be wrong with that? Holt got 15 for Norwich last season. For a 23/24 year old, 10-12 would be a decent return for someone playing wide left in a newly promoted team.

He scored 23 goals last season by playing as a striker. Therefore play him as a striker.

The whole formation is fair enough, but it will not work by putting square pegs in round holes. As someone else has said, I'm sure he's there until we have someone else to play there. Shows the frightening lack of options on the flanks though.

Optimistic at best. Last season, 13 league goals got you 10th place in the top scorers list. 10 - 12 goals at this level is a fantastic achievement. I'm not even sure J-Rod has had a decent shot on target yet, has he?

Totally not his fault. If he played where he's supposed to play then he'd have made much more of an impact. I'm sure of that.

if u play Rod you cant play lambo, in this new formation i dont care what ppl say, you play 1 striker end of with 2 wide midfielders either side and 3 cm in the centre, i keep saying it but NA is trying to keep to many players happy by playing Rod, Lambo and Guly at the same time. Guly isnt a right winger and Rod isnt a left winger, we have ppl who can play there so play them, my mate came back from the game today ranting about how **** Guly is, if NA keeps playing these players out of position week in week out he'll be down the job centre by november. We did so well last weekend somehow i knew this was gonna happen.

Why not simply swap Lambert and Jayrod over? Lambert does very well coming in on the far post, and has much more to his game than simply being in the box. Ok Lamberts not quick, but the current system doesn't work, either go 442 or forget staying in the Prem, most of Saturday we appeared to only have 451,

Hate to say it but does anyone think that J-Rod might be a signing for the future? Maybe him and Sharp up front next season if we are relegated? Would be awesome in the championship if that is where we find ourselves. This season I dont imagine he will get much of a look in once Lee is back, and he wont be our starting CF as clearly NA rates Guly up top. Maybe that's just my take on it but from what we have seen so far he is not a winger, and never is likely to be.

I don't blame the guy as he just wants to play football, a strange decision by Adkins so far.

I personally would swing Lallana back in left midfield and put J Rod in behind a front two.

I would certainly move lallana back to the left side, he gets less room in the centre and looks lost.. but I would play Lambert in the hole behind Rodriques. The is far too much emphasis on formations; footballers need to think on their feet, with movement off the ball so it can appear as 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 but fluidity is the key to breaking down defences.

Then he probably wasn't watching the game properly since Guly was one of our more effective players. Mind you that doesn't really say a lot.

He was good in the first half, but sunk to the level of everyone else in the second. Good to see the fans on his back again though. Was noticeable when Ward Prowse gave the ball away under no pressure barely a muttering, two minutes later Guly does and half the ground went nuts.
