This was pretty special

I love how the Archers explodes into carnage and then Beatties face when holding Pahars aloft

Man, I fecking loved Pahars. I willed him to be fit whenever he was not. Fantastic player.

His diving header from Beats cross to make it 2-0 vs Wimbledon (I think) was awesome.

for a game I was actually at, it would have to be against Everton at home. 3-1 down with ten minutes left, beattie scored a penalty and then Fernandes hit a 30 yard curler that flew in off the far post with a cpl minutes on the clock.

or telfer lobbing the Newcastle keeper on the last game of the season '02, whole ground stayed on thier feet for the last 5 mins.

Surprised the Lad stood next to me at that game, if he is on here, has not posted, Saints down to 10 and Telfers goal just about ensures the win, this Lad was bouncing around like he had springs in his feet tears pouring down his face, blubbing "I have never seen Saints win in person before!!!".

Would have to agree with Moran 84 v Skates (still my favourite moment watching football) and Camara v Norwich.

My no 3 would be Moran at Anfield in c 82. We'd been under pressure for 88 mins and Katalinic was brilliant in goal. He then scored the winner. Couldn't talk for a couple of days afterwards but it was worth it.

This one?:

Great flick from Keegan.

I'll go with the Barry Horne one myself. Carnage.

And in the same Cup run, not a goal as such but beating Utd on pens at Old Trafford - celebrating their missed pen (Giggs?) to win it.

Mickey Evans' 2nd (I think) to put us 3-1 up at Forest.

I was there in the Archers when that happened, can just about spot myself in a dodgy orange check shirt (ffs). Utterly mental and complete carnage. Matty's final goal just beats it though.

Honourable mention to the winner against Wolves in the QF of the FA Cup run, can't remember who scored it other than that the Northam exploded and I ended up a couple of rows down due to a bit of a bundle /understatement. I think it was at that point we all started to dream of a final.

You've got to feel a tad sorry for the youngsters who never got to stand on a proper terrace in a packed crowd.

Back in the 70's with every goal or near miss you'd get carried down half a dozen steps as the crowd surged forwards.

After a goal, at The Milton End you'd expect to end up 10 feet away from where you started, and would spend the next few minutes trying to re group with you mates!!

Exciting at the time, but looking back at it very scary - and when you see some of the old surges behind The Kop, looking like an avalanche you wonder how people were injured or even kiled on a weekly basis!!

Mental celebrations are an exception now rather than the norm.

Le Tiss freekick at Upton Park, think 98/99 to bring us back to 1-1

Pahars v Everton to make it 2-0 and safety

Bobby Stokes 1-0 Manure

Steve Moran V Skates FA Cup, last minutue, marvellous!

Le Tiss last goal at the Dell

Viafara's 2nd against Derby Play off

Ricky's 2nd vrs Ipswich

So, so, so many goals........

yep, standing at the front wall of the Archers as a kid and trying to breathe as you waited for the crush of fans pressing against you before they got back to their original place after a surge. Remember how the wall collapsed at Orient when we gained promotion. It was lucky nobody was badly injured. As for Sheff Wed away in the cup when the Saints were packed in so tight, it could easily been a disaster before the Liverpool Hillsborough
