Glad we're still in for a left back

After the way Fox was exposed time and time again on Sunday its just as well.

Now all the Fox fans will crucify me for that I'm sure but before you go too mad just take a look subjectively at him on Saturday at how often he leaves his man completely or gives him acres of space. Teams will soon target that flank when playing against us.

I agree about Fox, he is a weak link. The other thing is he gives possession away and can't build from the back. Maybe this was a JR thing in Sunday, but he didn't links well with Lallana last year often choosing to hoof the ball rather than build up in other ways once closed down.

Nixon on twitter says we have a ''bizarre'' target he is trying to firm up.

Not sure if that's bizarre in a good or bad way though.

Reckon its that El Kaddouri (?) we've been linked with as the Ramirez alternative.

Think he's referring to Kevin Pieterson, will play at centre half, and will be told that all the opposition forwards are called Strauss ;)

I started to select posts to delete and realised there would be nothing left. So I am going to leave as a memorial to what a bunch of dullards you are and bringing down the forum.

And before you start bleating he / said she said, I along with 95% of the forum, don't give a ****. So STFU and get back on topic - pretty please with sugar on top.

Just want to reiterate this.....scrolling back through the last couple of pages were the exact reason the last HCDAJFU thread was locked!

Reckon by bizarre he means someone who is against our 'standard' transfer policy this summer.

Could be. Possibly someone who is potentially alot older than the younger players we've tended to go for or someone who he feels wouldn't benefit the team as much. Sounds interesting though.

It could also potentially be an extremely extremely ambitious signing that Nixon sees as bizarre as he knows we dont stand a chance in hell of getting him?

Would have done the same as other mods did last night. We want to keep this going but need you lot to play nice :)

Hmm, but if you're gonna treat us and we're gonna act like naughty school children, maybe you need to make one or two of us sit on the naughty step more often.

Dont like the sound of this....

Zoggers87: @reluctantnicko @tcumner1986 Is the bizarre target instead of Ramirez? Bizarre good or bad?

reluctantnicko: @Zoggers87 @tcumner1986 Too bizarre to believe. Striker. No good.

Ali Dia?

Weird one.

He plays out wide as well as up front, so fits the type of player we're after.

I'm not writing him off though. I stand by the fact that Blackburn was a nightmare to be part of, and any new additions wouldn't have too easy a job integrating into that mess. I think he's a decent player and with the right support around him could be a threat, but I must admit it's a step down from who we have been linked with.

I think what may have happened is that press have got hold of one of our alternatives, and we probably have shed loads of alternatives.

You've never watched him play have you? I liken it to dating Sofia Vergara but not closing the deal and then going home with Susan Boyle.

Goodwillie is absolutely dreadful. I'd say Lambert/Sharp/Rodriguez/Guly/Barnard/Puncheon/Lallana could all do better jobs than him.

should we say NOW....that there is no evidence that it is Goodwillie.....it was only the contributor's sarcastic comment / suggestion. see # 436.

I've looked back again and nowhere did the SOURCE name anyone ! .....so let's drop that one now.
