Not in the 35 odd years I've been doing away games it hasn't.

traditionally when grounds had away seats / terrace you'd always have the terrace in the lower tier with seats above

Not doing Chelsea. Only Arsenal of our London games. Rest are over priced bollo.xs populated by southcoast daytrippers.

Fulham should be alright to be fair, being a boxing day it means that there's no trains so i doubt you'll get as many daytrippers as usual and it'll be one of the cheaper games in london.

I'm also a fan of spurs away, even if it's a ballache to get to it's normally a good atmosphere at WHL

Not sure that will matter, don't think we've ever had the upper tier there. Normally just get given the lower as we don't normally take many.

Would imagine we'd sell out as so many would never have been there, plus it's a Saturday 3pm. Or perhaps I'm just being blindly optimistic!?

After the poor attendance at Man City, I doubt the club will risk taking the full allocation and you can't really blame them. If we can't sell out the first game of our Premiership return, at the home of the Premiership champions, in the same are of the country - I can't see us selling this either.

To be fair if we had been drawn away to say Everton first game of the season IMO I think we would have sold out, the fact that it was televised on a Sunday was the major reason for people not buying tickets, even the lure of extra loyalty points did not sway it.

I know loads who would have gone to Citeh but weren't going to cough out £51 + travel for a TV game & I can't say I blame them at all. If it wasn't for Arsenal following so close behind I wouldn't have bothered & I'm only 1hr away from Eastlands.

I won't be shelling out for another away game if it's on the box as that ££ buys an away game that I would otherwise have skipped based on cost.

Just back (to my mum's)! I've been upt'north staying with various friends and had a night out in Manchester on the Saturday - great fun.

Apart from the goals highlights were JWP - not looking out of place in the Premiership, Clyne looking a better buy every time I see him and the general play. Lambert and Davies coming on when they did was obviously planned from the start, but what an impact! So, so pleased that Lambert had finally got to the top division and then scored in his first match. Guly looked much more comfortable in that position, did he play there in Italy? Shame about Fox's mistake but unintentional and don't hold it against him. Puncheon worked hard but his shooting and decision making is still suspect. Davis' distribution could be better and disappointed that he was beaten at the near post, but the OP is right: I can't remember coming away from a defeat so positive.

Youtube have taken down the videos of the goals. F*ck. I wanted to use the commentary for Lambert's goal as a ringtone. Anyone got a video of it with the Sky commentary?
