scotty Posted 19 August, 2012 Share Posted 19 August, 2012 Ok, so I text someone asking for a prediction ahead of the game. He says "5 - 0 city". I reply "4 - 2 city". He replies, saying "We wont score". I ask if he'd like to put a pint on that, he says yeh go on then... Now, I reckon as we scored twice, he owes me two pints. Some input from the SWF regulars would be appreciated, I've got a £2:75 pint of stowford riding on this.

ooh it's a corner Posted 19 August, 2012 Share Posted 19 August, 2012 I did the same thing with Betfair, but instead of 1 pint, they now owe me £14.75. Marvellous. I can buy several pints for that (although in fairness my stake was a tenner) (oh, and to answer the original question, 1 pint)
scotty Posted 19 August, 2012 Author Share Posted 19 August, 2012 Oh come on, he said we wouldn't score at all!! That means he was wrong twice. Two pints, surely.
Colinjb Posted 19 August, 2012 Share Posted 19 August, 2012 The bet was on whether Saints would score at all, not the number of goals. Only one pint for you my friend.
Jimmy_D Posted 19 August, 2012 Share Posted 19 August, 2012 One pint, but the smug satisfaction of knowing you won the bet is worth so much more...

SaintBobby Posted 19 August, 2012 Share Posted 19 August, 2012 The fact that he was infinitely wrong doesn't get you infinite pints. Sorry.
Turkish Posted 20 August, 2012 Share Posted 20 August, 2012 I agree, it's definitely only one pint mate.
Webby Posted 20 August, 2012 Share Posted 20 August, 2012 1 pint, but you were also much, much closer with your score prediction. Take the pint and pour it over his head!
