No source other than it's doing the rounds on twitter but...

 

Apparently saints Have had 8 million offer for Cameroonian CB Kana-Biyik accepted too.

 

Would be good if it's true.

Blimey another hot European prospect. Would be quality to get this chap too, although I don't know much about him if Milan are sniffing after him he can't be too bad eh?

He was linked earlier in the summer and has been watched by a number of bigger clubs which suggests a similar situation to that of Ramirez.

 

Plus he's Italian, he plays for Villareal who are set to lose their top players following relegation and Les Reed was supposedly in Spain on business last week...

 

I'm not saying we will sign him but from what Nixon has said he's probably not a name you can rule out.

I don't think he has ever owned a wallet. I wouldnt be surprised if all deals were done in cash.

No he didn't, anyway he never got his wallet out, Casey was buying the bubbly after getting a hole in one.

 

Meanwhile.... what I did hear was that Jaidi went off on a "mission" the other week, he returned and said "it was successful"

French papers are reporting Southampton have had an €8m bid accepted by Rennes for Jean Armel-Kana Biyik. More as this develops.

Imagine if we signed Phillips, Ramirez, Yoshida and Kana Biyik before the window closes.

 

Along with Davis, Rodriguez, Gazzaniga and Clyne, that would be pretty much the perfect window would it not?

would probably be the best group of transfers/transfer window in my life time....in terms of improving what ever squad we have..

 

yet, some will still kick off about it....guaranteed

in case anyone is wondering about the weakness in our central defence..

 

I'm asking myself.... if replacing a Dutchman and a Portuguese...... with a Japanese and a French-speaking African will help things run more smoothly ?

Agreed about your first point (though it has to actually happen yet...)

 

As to your second point I think that if anyone complains about that then they are idiotic. I think if anyone does complain then it will be a tiny minority.

Who said anything about replacing? We need 4 top class CBs in the PL, at the moment we have 2 effectively. I think its quite clear that what we are looking for is options, not necessarily replacements, it has always seemed clear to me that NA thinks Jos & Jose are first choice, but clearly with injuries and suspensions we need able options, no disrespect to Seaborne and Stephens, but they are not the answer. And despite what others may say, we need a left and right option, not all CBs are the same, at least not when playing 4 at the back.

He has said in the press today that he is happy to stay at Rennes and hasn't asked to leave but its obviously nice to be linked with clubs as it shows you are doing well.

 

Didn't mention any specific clubs.
