jawillwill Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 Well I'd never seen it before (I've still only got as far as the 5th minute actually, but thought I'd share anyway).... [video=youtube;D1Wz_Hiy-iA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1Wz_Hiy-iA Enjoy!
fareham saint phil Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 I've never seen that before so a million thanks for posting it. Still now brings a big smile to my face when i see his goals (and the Dell) but what stuck me more was the fellow ex pros talking so highly of him, the last bit with Joe Royale, a very respected player/manager, where he said about his goals and "thats what makes him a legend to me" makes you even prouder that he was a Saints player
Miffy Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 Thanks for that. Fantastic. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up remembering the final goal at The Dell. And what a night that was against Wimbledon!
Made in Southampton Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 Great watch. His final goal at the Dell will be something I will share with my kids about when they are older.
Cascadia Saint Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 Never seen it either, thanks for posting it! Some great interviews in there, I'd never heard about timmy flowers towel.
mcjwills Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 Saw that on ESPN, only other program I watched during the Olympics.
Saint_Donovan Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 That was absolutely brilliant, thanks very much for posting it. how bloody lucky are we that we had him at our club?!!!!
MarkSFC Posted 17 August, 2012 Posted 17 August, 2012 aaaahhhh the memories!! I will never tire of seeing his goals, imagine if he was around now in his prime!! Had money on him scoring last and winning 3-2 in The Arsenal game at 175-1...what a brilliant day that was! Thanks for posting that.
saintchris23 Posted 17 August, 2012 Posted 17 August, 2012 I'll admit (I have had a few sherbets) to shedding a couple of tears of joy watching that last goal at The Dell. I've met Matt a few times and he's a true legend.
